Gallbladder/normal labs

Aug 04, 2018 5:32 AM

I have had the worst right ribcage pain for months. It goes under my sternum and wraps around my right shoulder. I keep getting normal labs and scans, but pain is getting unbearable. Has anyone gone through this?

I complained with the same pain for 3 years but the last 2 of those I had multiple ER visits and doctor visits. Nearly everyone in my family had lost their gallbladder. Anyway my tests were are normal or very minimally abnormal, not enough to say for sure I had a gallbladder issue. After 2 years of ER & doctor visits my PCP sent me to a surgeon, who after reviewing my history, examined me and saw my family history, got insurance approval for surgery. When they opened me up my gallbladder was discolored, filled with Stones (that did not show up on any test), and was ready to rupture. The doc said that's typical for women. Get a second opinion from another GI specialist or a surgeon.🙂❤🙏🌼

I get pain under my ribcage and middle of my back which is different to the fibromyalgia pain. I had a ultrasound scan which showed a large gallstone. I have trouble eating, if I have a meal I get pain. I'm waiting for surgery now to remove it.

Hope you get some answers.

Sending love and prayers 🤗🙏
