Getting tired of having issues ignored

Dec 15, 2015 3:40 AM

I've been having issues with my right side for over a year now. Right shoulder has barely 50% mobility and right leg has pain in upper thigh . every time I see a doctor and I mentioned it . something else us always discovered and the mobility issue is pushed away. It's bad enough I have to live with chronic pain. But can I at least get the full use of my arm again. Geesh.. Is it asking to much to have something fixed for good.

Newfibrogirl, no, it's not too much to ask. Have you gone to the orthopedist for the shoulder? Perhaps that would be your best bet to get some help in getting back the motion in your arm. I know how hard that is because I have no recognized joint in the left shoulder and the right one is rapidly deteriorating. I would go in that direction and see if they can help you out. There is no reason for your concern to be pushed to the side (especially over a year!!) I would say to the doctor, "I've been addressing this issue with you for a year and you find other things and then don't try to diagnose the problem. I need you to listen to me and to at least acknowledge a problem when I tell you I'm having one." I wish I could say that the doctors will make it all better. They may give you improvement but with the issues we have, the best we can hope for is some relief. I wish that I could make it go away for you, I really do. I know you're at the end of your rope so hang onto mine, I gotcha. Sending you love, {{Hugs}} and prayers.💕🌻🙏🏻

Yes alwayz..I have to say my arm is better then the beginning of the year. Seeing as in February my arm was at a 90 dege angle Inward...( not sure of actual angle.) Basically my arm bent in toward my left arm laying on my stomach and did not move past my chin..I was sent to physical therapy for three months and it is not able to hang straight down but my elbiw does not raise higher then chin. So you can imagine getting dressed is always a challenge. I have only seenan what the. Once at the beginning of all of this issues in which all the xrays showed no actual damage yet the joint would not move past a certain point so now I'm saying a Rheumatologist who pretty much still just wants me to continue doing the home exercises that I learned in physical therapy I really feel that I need more physical therapy the only reason I stopped is because my prescription ran out so perhaps you're right I need to actually ask for a prescription for physical therapy you're right thanks for the idea
