Gluten??

Jan 09, 2017 4:48 PM

I have noted other Fibromyalgia suffers here have found eliminating gluten has decreased their pain levels.

I also noted an improvement with eliminating gluten. Since I have also started some supplements at the same time .. I've had a gluten day as a test. Hmmm

Now I'm finding I'm really emotional .. past my regular anxieties and life sucks blues from pain and years of crap sleep... There's lot on my stress buffet this month but I feel overwhelmed after the fact.

Has anyone else noticed an emotional response if gluten is re introduce on purpose or not?

Thanks ...

Hello foggurl. I haven't gone gluten free so I wouldn't know. How hard was it to go gluten free? Since inam my parents caregiver and do.all their cooking I wonder if it's even something I could do without adding too much extra on my already crazy schedule.

Going gluten free can be time consuming at first. Gluten is in things you wouldn't expect and it goes by different names.

I'm totally in the know about gluten free ... My son is gluten free for almost 7 years.

Lots of people find it hard and there is lots of hidden gluten, like dairy.

I'm just amazed at how my emotions are on overload after having it after being gluten free for over three weeks.

Definitely not having gluten in the near future. My fibromyalgia pain did lessen ... Waiting to see how the body feels in the next couple of days...

Mimikay, it's hard when you cook for others ... I have designated food prep stuff for my son ... Gluten free toaster. I have been making seperate food for him for years ...

Something to think about. Doubt I could convince my parents to go gluten free though.

Ive read lots about an anti.inflammatory diet ... It worth a try.

I have not had much success with meds ... I have low tolerance and some allergies to boot. At least the only side effect of gluten free is a bit more planning and I already bake gf for my son when I have energy.

I eliminated most of it from my diet and it didn't change my levels. Not that it doesn't work for some, I know for a fact it does. I just may have other shit that doesn't allow it to work. Oh well, such is life 🤗
