Go abroad and save a lot of money on health treatment

May 04, 2017 4:43 AM

I saw just now an episode of Inside Man with Morgan Spurlock from CNN on Danish TV.

Maybe this episode was one or more years old, but it was about the possibility to go abroad ( in this case Thailand) and be treated for low cost.

Morgan has to get colonoscopy, but he also talks with other americans with ie back pain, on some nerve problems in the legs and heart problems about how they were treated.

And the best thing is - it was a whole of heck cheaper than in USA.

Did guy come back with both kidneys? Bwahaha...seriously, How can it be cheaper? You have expense of getting there, lodging, food, besides the medical bill...unless they know someone?

I saw a special a few years back. They sent all the medical files to some medical facility in some contry from were they lived in the US. They did a video chat to determine if qualify or not for the procedure. Of they did. They were set up with the facility coordinator. The patient and one other were set up with flights, transportation lodging at the facility, meals and the surgery and return flights. The whole cost was almost half the cost then here in the US.

A friend of mine went out of country for dental work. Wisdom teeth removal, 3 fillings, one root canal, and a crown for $1200. That would normally cost $5,000 and up
