I finally was approved for Medicaid which is health insurance from the state. After so many turn downs and being in pain and not getting proper healthcare, it's finally over. I have Sjögren's syndrome, herniated discs in my back, fibromyalgia, hypothyroid, DDD, chronic stomach pain and bad knees. I can finally be seen by doctors and finally go to pain management. My chronic suffering should be getting a little easier. Thank you everyone for all you guys support, prayers and gentle hugs!
I just had a call from a company that's supposed to help you sign up for Medicare/Medical ( govt insurance that's supposed to be for the poor in the US) apparently I'm too poor to qualify! Huh??? What?? No one can explain that one to me😲
Erm that doesn't make sense??? I would call them back and ask them to explain or is there another company that also does the same or maybe go direct to Medicare? Sorry I'm in the UK so our healthcare system is free
Yep! I'm not pregnant, no small children, and I'm not elderly,or a man with dependants, white women with no kids and no money fall in a special crack that no one else falls in... oh well...I've never had any kind of health insurance my whole life soooo I guess I'll survive....
BrokenBlossoms, I have been fighting for Medicaid since 2014. I don't know what state you live in but here I'm NC, I had to be disabled in the eyes of Medicaid. Because even though my daughter is adopted, she is not an immediate blood relative. I don't know what state you live in saying you too poor to qualify but keep appealing the decision.
