Got my chair

Feb 20, 2015 1:31 PM

Hello all.. Just an update, I got my chair. Turns out first, it took over an hour for them to manage to get it through the door after taking the door off and breaking the trim moldings because the chair got stuck. THEN.... They set it up, I'm expecting a WIDE chair and since they're custom made, I thought it would be so. The space between the two arms is 23"!!! Well, they left I started to cry and thought, I'll never fit in this seat. I'm calling customer service to let the sales lady know that the chair IS custom but only as far as the size of the motor (for weight because it has a lift) and the fabric and certain positions they program because of the medical issues you may have. I DID sit in it, and I DID fit and there are MANY positions, etc.. It's kind of hard so it has to break in.... They stuff it more for heavier people so it doesn't flatten ever, it just gets soft and supportive. Well, I have 30 days to try it out and see what happens.. I'm praying it will work out because I haven't any idea how they would get it back out of my room. From all the stress, the waiting, the cleaning, the worrying, I have a wicked migraine, my body is killing me and I'm exhausted because I've only gotten 3 hours of sleep the last two nights (total). I'm going to sit in the seat, try the positions and see what happens. I'll let you all know. Keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer!! Thanks everybody!! 💕

I'm hoping it breaks in and works well for you. I certainly don't want you to have to deal with having it removed

Thanks Oregon... I'm thinking it should break in and I'll get used to it. I think the problem is that the seat space between the arms is 23" and I DO fit ok and they overstuff it so it softens and will never get hard or compress flat under weight. A few nights and hopefully I'll get used to it. The heat and massage are great. They put the three zones of massage just where I needed it. I'm going to sit in it now and go through the settings and try the Zero Gravity and see how that goes. I'll let you all know. By the way... Just to let everyone here know, the booklet AND the paperwork all say this is a medical device... With a letter and RX from my doctor along with the receipt I can file a claim and get from 50-80% of the cost back!! THAT should make it more comfy, no??? LOL!!! 😜

Hope it works for you and that you sleep like a baby in it.

I'm hoping that tonight's going to be better than last.. Each night thereafter better and more cozy in the chair. I have found settings that are really comfy and when the chair "breaks in" I'm sure they will be even better. Looking forward to it. Thanks for all the support, you're ALL awesome and I'm so happy that I have such a great group of people pulling for me. 💕

Alwayz, how is that chair breaking in? I have been needing to use my Lomi Chair frequently the past couple days. I like the fact that there is a removable pad in the back for more of a deep tissue type massage. I also went to the hot springs and hung from a floatie for an hour. Just trying to get my back to let loose and relax. Then hot tub. All of that was the natural healing water. It felt wonderful and felt good until bed time. Ahhhh. I hope your chair is bringing relief! 😉

Oregon, thanks for checking in... I have to say that it is really fantastic. It has so many settings for your back, head and neck, along with heat and massage, it's amazing. I have to say that when I use it, it keeps my spine in proper alignment and when I wake up, I have virtually no pain (then I get up) and after a few moments the pain immediately escalates to level of about 8-8.5!!! Sometimes I get back into the chair and put on the heat and massage just to relax it a bit. As you can see, it's currently 4:27am and I'm still up... It's exhausting. I need to get a good night's sleep just once and I'll be thrilled. Glad your chair works for you.
