My 3year old daughter complains that her legs are hurting mostly around her knees in the day and wakes up screaming at night in pain she stretches her legs out and points her toes then kicks her legs about I thought it could be growing pains but have been told it could be bad curculation wich would make sense as it runs in the family also alot of my family members have problems with there legs/kneed and I have raynaud's has anyone got any idea what this could be?

Xxxxxxxx I have no idea but my Mother used to say that my sister had growing pains when hers did the same way as your Daughter is doing. She would just rub them,I wonder if you might be able to use this night time lotion for aches and pains on her legs. It's called Village Naturals Therapy Aches -Pains Relief Lotion it has Lavender, Chamomile -Menthol. I use it and it helps a little, I found it at Walmart in the bath soaps, and oils. Hope this helps.

I know growing up I definitely had met problems, like your daughter mentioned. It got so bad in the night that I would wake up screaming and would literally have to yell or crawl to my parents room because it hurt to walk. My doctor said it was growing pains. I also have Raynauds and my mom said that my feet and hands have been turning purple since I was a baby. I was only diagnosed a few months ago when it got worse. I used to be embarrassed about my purple hands and feet but now that I know what it is, I'm open about it. My Raynauds is very painful and causes a lot of weakness from lack of blood. May contribute to my leg pain growing up. Very hard to tell. Sorry about your daughter but if it is growing pains, it will ease up soon

Xxxxxxxx, if your family genetics is predispositions for circulation & Raynaud's, maybe you should take her to a vascular doc for an ultrasound. My daughter developed growing pains at about 6, but she never woke screaming and crying. But I have many times over the past 10-15 years. I've been out in compression house due to circulation. My PCP keeps mentioning Raynaud's but hasn't officially said I have it. Winter and in the shower, or sitting on the exam table with legs dangling, my feet, legs and hands turn blue, red, purple.

God bless you getting help for your daughter. At that age is very hard to describe what's she's feeling but. Prayers & (((hugs))) for you both! 🙏🌼

With the circulation issues, I'd look into CRPS/RSD as a slight possibility, just because of the pain and circulation issues.

My granddaughter was born with a vascular disease called "CMTC"... Not sure I'll get this right, cutis mormarata teleangetactica congenita. Her left leg has a roadmap of purple veins from the thigh to the foot. She had to wear braces and go through therapy the first two years to help the left leg muscles develop. She still stumbled if she runs sometimes but otherwise she looks and feels very healthy. We've tried to find out if family history had anything like it, but so far nothing.
