Had a painful but had a blessed day so far

Sep 24, 2016 1:03 PM

With being sick and the new sensitivities and my menopause kicking into high gear and the fact that I have to wear long sleeves in the sun. I never much about Sjogrens and Lupus until I came across this site and then I get DX'ed with them. Well anyway I went to the band carwash this morning and it was hot outside and I thought I was going to die, so to stay cool I jumped in to help was a couple of car's and in return I get sprayed with the hose lol! Well one of our state Representatives stopped by to get her car washed and she was as sweet as could be. She asked me why I was wearing long sleeves and I told her because of the Sjogrens syndrome ( I thought I was going to have to explain it to her) and she told me that she knows that it's a tough fight to fight because her Mom had it! We had a nice conversation, I told her despite my pain I do what I can do for my kid's. She said that her Mon was the same way. At the end of the car wash all the kids hard work paid off and I am blessed to have been able to work with these great group of kids. We raise..... Are you ready for it???.....$800!!!!!!! I am super proud of the kid's and their hard work , and the fact that they had fun doing it!πŸ˜ŠπŸŽΆπŸ’–πŸŒžπŸŽ΅

I remember being in band about a hundred years ago. :) we used to paint house numbers on curbs to earn money. Oh and we did a rent a bandsman thing where they could hire how ever many they needed to do general chores. I and a friend were hired to clean and declutter an elderly women's home. Others raked leaves, mowed yards, cleaned gutters etc.
