So my mom has chronic pain as well, but she's undiagnosed, one doctor says she has fibro, but me and her both know she definitely doesn't considering they didn't even do the pressure tests, and she doesn't even have even half of the symptoms. But she is seeing my pain management doctor as I type now. I am so happy she is finally going to see a doctor. She has been putting it off since I got sick and now that we are just waiting for inscurance to approve a treatment for me she decided now is a good time. I hope this doctor figures things out for her because she has been dealing with pain since I can remember. Please send good vibes toward me and my moms way and wish us luck. I'm really hopeful this doctor will be good for her. She been in there for over an hour So they must be talking about a lot of things I feel.
Jenna, Good wishes for your mom, you are lucky to have each other. That mother/daughter bond can be a life saver! I'm a mom with MS and fibro pain+, with a wonderfully supportive daughter of 26 who has undiagnosed pain and other symptoms. Doctors have been suspecting MS since she was a young teen. So we have an opposite yet similar situation. I'm sending good vibes. (Love your use of that term, BTW.) Smiles
So the doctor agreed she does not have fibro! (sometimes it feels good to be right lol) but she is on a new medicine and she is actually seems excited talking about what's going on, I feel like my doctor will be wonderful for her. Also he came and talked to me after he saw her, he is putting in a request for a pain pump, along with a request for ketamine and the scs. So basically we are just waiting to see what gets approved first. But i am so happy for my mother right now :)
