Happy new year everyone

Jan 01, 2017 10:56 AM

Wishing you all a very happy and pain less or at least low pain new year. Remember to be kind to yourself first and whatever is left if any can be shared with those you choose.
What did everyone do last night/ this morning
Me and my sister went to our towns first countdown. For me it took planning lots of resting and pre medicating . It rained the whole while but we found an awesome spot suoer close and just sat in the car and listened to the band and watching the drop. With all I've been through and still have she's of me I needed this night out.

Glad you were able to get out and have some fun! Rick and I sat home with the kitties and watched TV and had a couple glasses of Ezra Brooks Bourbon and Diet Pepsi. I toasted in the new year with a cheese puff and Rick toasted in the new year with a mini pretzel. LOL

Everyone at my house sat on the sofa and watched Dick Clark's Rocking New Year's to watch the ball drop, and we all rang the New Year's in with White Sparkling Grape Juice and popcorn.

We had doughnuts and grapes and some bubbly

I didn't have anything at all because I couldn't get anyone to take me to grocery store. I did watch the ball drop.

Happy New Year hun.

Last night I spent the New Year with my son and a friend of his. Was supposed to have several friends over but the roads were getting bad so only one showed up. Got lots of leftovers to feed us the rest of the week. Lol. And home made wine. :) Pat makes the best wine. 🍷 I don't usually drink alcohol but always make an exception with Pats wine. Lol

Oh and the guys introduced me to a card game called "Cards Against Humanity". Craziest card game I have ever played.

Spent time at home with my wife and kids. Played games, laughed, and watch the ball drop. Then put the kids to bed and enjoyed time with my wife

Mimikay I love "Cards against Humanity". It's a Hoot. Haha Though I wouldn't want to play with my parents.

I got into bed around eight with very high pain and pled with the Lord to 'please, just let me sleep'. I was out by nine. Although I was woken multiple times by the celebrations of my neighbors, I was able to fall back to sleep quickly. Best New Year's Eve ever!

I love "Cards Against Humanity" I can't remember the site right now, but you can download a free starter set of cards to print.

We had our own little NYE party with our kids. My stepdaughter did my makeup and my son made a mess in the front yard with pop-streamers. No big partying for me, just low-key family time.

Happy New Year, Newfibrogirl.. I am glad you went and had a good time!!! Every now and again, you need to get out and have fun. I'm glad that you enjoyed itπŸ’•

Happy new year all, newfibrogirl I'm soo happy that you went out and all your planning and premedicating paid off. It does you good to get out to enjoy yourself, it refreshes the body and energises the soul....makes you remember that there's a whole wide world just waiting for you to conquer it when you're ready 😊🌎

I was at my parents pub trying to keep out of the way from everyone but wanting to be part of it at the same time....luckily for me my baby girl spent the night at my side as she always does lately so I could sit off to one side and watch everyone have fun, I
managed to stay sitting in the bar on my own for a bit while she was dancing to the disco celebrating the new year.....I even got up and had a dance with her if you could call swaying side to side at the edge away from everyone dancing but I got a short video of everyone holding hands and jumping up and down wishing each other a happy new year at midnight.....I'm very proud of myself for even staying in the bar to celebrate the new year altho I did have a few dark rum and cokes thro the evening which gave me a little Dutch Courage to stay in the bar and the extra boost to tell my dad no I wasn't helping behind the bar no matter what (I started to get extremely shaky just at the thought of it even with a drink!). By one or half one I'd had enough plus Jo was starting to fall asleep on the table I'd decided it was time for bed. I did actually enjoy watching everyone else enjoying themselves and it wasn't overly busy either, just the right amount with a good mix of people ☺

I hope you're healing up well newfibrogirl and following your doctors orders and I hope PT is helping with retraining your nerves and muscles xx
