has anyone heard from Jenna

Nov 21, 2015 10:35 AM

I haven't heard from Jenna in a few days. Has anyone heard anything? I'm really worried about her.

Nov 21, 2015 12:38 PM

Have not heard anything. I tried to email her but it got sent back as undeliverable. Hope she is ok

Nov 21, 2015 1:16 PM

I'll email her again. Mine don't get sent back, she just isn't answering. Maybe they did induce a coma. Either the is in my prayers every day.

Nov 21, 2015 2:25 PM

I had only heard from her a few days ago. That sweet girl was in such a state and crying and ready to give up. She said she has tubes everywhere and IV's everywhere and is bedridden. They took her off most all pain meds because they said they weren't working anyway (I say that's a bunch of horse crap in today's day and age. SOMEONE had to know what the hell they're doing). I asked her about the medically induced coma and understandably, she's terrified. She said the doctor mentioned it but she said no because she was scsred. I tried to help her feel better explaining that doing this would allow her heart and brain to rest as well as the rest of her body. They would also be able to bring her pain levels way down so she can heal and get back to her life. I hate that any of you are suffering, it brings tears to my eyes and pain to my heart with all
Of the wonderful young folks that have their entire lives ahead of them and they are here with us describing such painful diseases that youngsters (or anyone else for that matter.

Nov 21, 2015 2:33 PM

I know what you mean. She did say she was ready to just do whatever the Dr thought best. I emailed her, and explained a little, to the best of my ability about how that works and that they wouldn't have to put her to far in, just enough for her brain to give her body a rest, and for the body to get rid of the pain meds and for her brain to reset itself. Sometimes, it gets so bad, there isn't anything else they can do. They had to do this with my late husband twice. They kept him under 5 days each time, but I don't know about Jenna's conditions as much as I do spinal issues fibromyalgia, chronic myofacial pain syndrome, MS, and neuropathy.

Nov 21, 2015 2:37 PM

I don't post a lot and I haven't been part of this site very long but I have grown to really care and really rely on the encouragements I see and all the love I see from this community. Thinking positive and healing thoughts for Jenna. My heart aches for her

Nov 21, 2015 2:40 PM

I think if anything happens to that young girl, we would all be devastated. Sometimes I think to myself, stop whining about it and think what Jenna is going through. I realize that others are worse off than me and anything I can do to help them, I will.

Nov 21, 2015 2:47 PM

How old is Jenna? I'm soon to be 21 in a couple months and can barely get through my own. Never expected to be on medical leave and on EI at this point in my life. I always hoped to be traveling or going to school and here I am proud of that fact I that I managed to leave the house today. I can't imagine having to go through what Jenna is at this point when I ca barely right now. I think about all you every day and feel guilty that I have so many wonderful people to relate to. I hope Jenna is getting all the love and support she needs right now

Nov 21, 2015 2:50 PM

She is just 18. She has been in pain since she was 11 if I recall correctly. If not, someone correct me please.

Nov 21, 2015 3:02 PM

Oh no :( what is it she's dealing with? I've been experiencing pain since MVA when I was 9 but I can't say it's anything like what Jenna is experiencing. It didn't start to really affect my daily life until I was 13 though

Nov 21, 2015 10:04 PM

Birdie, she has CRPS (aka RSD, RND, causalgia, etc) which I know as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, and is one of the most painful known diagnoses, although obviously it depends, but it has spread from a single limb to full body.

I'm 15, but have been lucky enough to reach remission. I've had some pain most of my life, but I'm I'm okay ish now, I'm definitely worried about her. There was another post about her, since we haven't heard, but I don't know if it has more comments. Also, it sounded like she might be residing different medical treatments, or if she's like me, the pain is so intense she's not moving.

I know for awhile I didn't even use my tablet, since everything hurt. I really hope she finds a doc knowledgeable about things like DMSO, LDN, and Magnolia Root. It might be helpful, but I don't know.

Cearea, neuropathy and CRPS go hand in hand. Neuropathy is almost a symptom, or side diagnosis of CRPS.

Nov 21, 2015 10:13 PM

Thanks ferretbandit. I'm still learning and researching CRPS because of Jenna. I wanted to see if there was an herbal plan I could put together. I was able to do that before she went quiet. I reminded her to talk to the Dr before she tried anything. I'm not certified but I have been doing this for over 25 yrs. I sent her an email yesterday, I and today I but I still haven't heard anything. I just hope they found something to help her and she is getting some well deserved rest

Nov 21, 2015 10:34 PM

Hi,
I found this app and am hoping I can find a place where people understand and go through the same suffering as me, there are no support groups in my area and I thought I can give this a try, I was diagnosed with CRPS almost 2 yrs ago, my pain stated in my left foot and is migrating to my hip. Last week my entire leg lost mobility am on meds, the have helped a bit, I have a spinal cord infusion.
Is anyone out there with this condition besides Jenna? I am just reading and she is in my prayers at the same time am scared

Nov 21, 2015 10:45 PM

There are a few on here. Give them time to read your post. I You might want to create a topic by clicking on the floor icon of the paper and pen at the top and introducing yourself. I am glad you found this site. We are all suffering from chronic pain even though our problems may be different. We are here for support and to give others support. No one here will ever judge you can or say anything that will make you feel bad. We will never give you the buck up, and suck it up speech either. We have all been there had that done to us. So, I welcome to the family and know that you are among friends.

Nov 21, 2015 10:47 PM

Thanks, I will go ahead and do that

Nov 21, 2015 10:48 PM

You are very welcome 😀

Nov 21, 2015 11:16 PM

Wow that sounds so horrible. Thank you for answering that. I can't imagine. I so hope she's getting the treatment she needs

Nov 21, 2015 11:31 PM

Me too. For now, but we send prayers, and in whatever form that may be in.

Nov 22, 2015 12:11 AM

Still no word from Jenna? Will continue to pray for her and for everybody else while I'm at it. I just hope she is finally comfortable enough to be getting rest now, she sounded exhausted the last time she posted. {{{{{Jenna}}}}}, {{{{{pain family}}}}}

Nov 22, 2015 12:12 AM

Right back at ya Iann

Nov 22, 2015 7:02 AM

I am really worried myself. I haven't seen any posts from Jenna. Perhaps the doctors did put her in a medically induced coma and her Mom doesn't know how to contact us to let us know how she is doing. She is in my daily thoughts and prayers and wish I could be by her bedside so she wasn't so frightened and to try to help her relax and get away from some of her pain. I know that God will keep her protected and he will keep her in the light of his love and we will hear something soon.💕🙏🏻🌻

Nov 22, 2015 12:28 PM

I hope so! Had anyone heard anything from Wynn either? Cuz I've been wondering about her too

Nov 22, 2015 4:30 PM

Nope, not a word. I get very nervous about folks who are here with us and then disappear without warning. I hope that she's ok.💕🙏🏻🌻🤗

Nov 22, 2015 4:47 PM

I came to see if anyone had herd from Jenna, so sorry to see they didn't, I've been watching the threads to see if anyone has herd from her. Will keep an eye out praying for her and all my pain family here! 😘🙏💕

Nov 22, 2015 6:00 PM

Alwayz, your faith humbles me. Thank you for sharing it. {{{{{Alwayz}}}}}

Nov 22, 2015 6:04 PM

I also have Crps - started bilateral feet now through both hips. 4yrs dealing 1 diagnosed. My heart aches for her. I have had 45 days of bed or intense pain. It is very hard and I cannot even imagine her pain. Is it legal to do the coma in the USA? I understand it's not and this is why some sell it all to go to Mexico or Germany. Maybe mentioned it but they all do to us. Many doctors seem to find it fascinating to talk coma. But if they have had her 2 weeks why aren't they sending her out to a different hospital? alwayz when you talked so you know what hospital she is in?

Nov 22, 2015 6:44 PM

crps, no, I am sorry I do not know what hospital she is in. It IS legal here in the USA to put s patient into a medically induced coma so that the body can de-stress, the brain can "reset" and also they can get her out of pain or close to it while they figure out wha the hell is wrong and help her. She had said the doctors spoke to her about it and she refused it because she was so scared to let them do it. (I'd be scared as well but perhaps she got more information about it, talked it over with doctors, family and some of us and decided to go with it. She was at the point of giving up last time she posted so maybe she actually did it and her Mom doesn't know how to contact us to let us know. Jenna, we all love and are praying for you. I pray that your guardian angel has you enveloped in his/her gentle wings blessed with the love of God and is keeping her safe. We just all need to keep praying and checking in. With the entire pain family praying there has got to be a miracle for this sweet young lady. 💕🙏🏻🌻

Nov 22, 2015 9:07 PM

I've heard the ketamine coma specifically isn't okay in the us, except surrounding emergencies and surgery.
I really hope she's okay!

Nov 22, 2015 9:33 PM

As always Alwayz, you have said it best. I check my email every morning and evening hoping to get a word or 2 but still nothing. I've said it before and I'll say it every day till we hear from her, prayers are being sent up more than once a day for this sweet young lady. I will let y'all know if I get an email. I know y'all will do the same. Hugs to everyone

Nov 22, 2015 10:09 PM

Please educate me, what is the difference with ketamine comma and ketamine infusion. Is this the same? I hear ketamine infusion is done here in America certain doctors in Florida and Pennsylvania.

Nov 22, 2015 10:16 PM

I would have to research that and get back with you. There are other meds they use to induce a coma as well. Depending on if that is what they did I couldn't tell you what they used. I can do the research for you but not until tomorrow. I had a terrible night and a worse day and I'm going to try to go to bed in just a few min. I will be shutting down my phone in 10min. If you need to talk to me, please do it fast. I am beyond exhausted.

Nov 22, 2015 10:21 PM

Cearea,
Please get some rest am in no rush, I can wait until tomorrow. Please take it easy.
I have been read about a Dr Robert Schwartzman in Pennsylvania he use to send his patients to Germany, he is retired now and Dr Philip Gets on has continued with his work and research especially on crps /rsd .
We can chat tomorrow may you sleep well and be rested.
Good night

There is a lot of controversy with ketamine. I know some Crps patients that did travel overseas for the coma. It seems the average is up to 6mo and the chance of hallucinations for a year or schizophrenia. However some go into remission. I understood from RSDSA that there was a U.S. Trial and it was denied as s man died. Highly uncommon but on a study quick way to shut it down. The infusions are less on your body - no coma. Both very expensive and not approved for ins w Crps. I apply a compound externally and it helps a lot. There are some new drugs emerging that I pray in the next yr really help us. At this point there is no drug made for Crps.

Nov 23, 2015 11:45 AM

Jenna, I am praying for you! And as Alwayz said so is your pain family! 😘🙏💕💞 we love you!
