Hate stress

Oct 05, 2016 9:56 PM

So today I ended up in the nurses office because my feet hurt so bad that I was crying, this was because I have a nym in science and I got a 2 on my last social studies quizz. I hate how my friends can walk around pain free and get good grades and then they can go home to their none-divorced family's and be happy while I go home to a lonely house with only my cats dog step dad and sometimes my mom but she travels. Tonight for homework I have a social studies paper a social studies work sheet 40 pages I have to read for language arts and a work sheet.stess makes my pain worse and I'm in 8th grade so no one really cry's so what are people supposed to think when they see a 13 year old crying oh how about she's a cry baby. I will talk to u guys later.

Horsesnuggler, I am so sorry to hear that you're in such a state. I know you try hard to keep things in order and manage your pain along with other activities. Never, ever call yourself a cry baby sweetheart. You're not. Many of us get to the point where we cry from our pain, our stress or just life in general. Never put yourself down for being human. I wish there was something I could say or do to make you feel better. Sending {{{Hugs}}} your way along with positive vibes and good karma. Hang in there Hon, you'll get through. 💕😊

I am so sorry you are going through this. Mine started when I was 12 - so I do understand how difficult this is for you. Do your teachers understand what you are dealing with medical wise? Is there a school counselor you can talk to? When I was your age (about a million years ago) no one really understood chronic pain - and especially when it was a young teen. I often did deep breathing. Inhale slowly as I counted to 6. Then hold it to a count of 4 Before slowly releasing my breath again as I counted to 6. I would do this several times. Not only did it help me to relax some but it Got oxygen up to my brain and that helped me to refocus. If the school had a counselor maybe they can help you come up with a plan that will help you through the day. If not please talk to your doctor. Let them know your struggles in school - they might have some ideas too. Not sure what's available there but when I got to college I found a tutor was a huge help. Maybe your school has some type of program like that?

(((( gentle hugs ))))

You poor thing. I can't even imagine how you feel. School on top of chronic pain. Have you talked to your Mom? Does she know you coming home feeling lonely, stressed and overwhelmed? Maybe she can rearrange her travel plans. Or try finding a way to make it easier for you at home.

To bad they don't have audio books so you could just listen to your homework. Are you having trouble w/ memory or just social studies in general? Talk to your teachers maybe the harder classes the teachers will have ideas to make it easier. Have you asked if you could record the teachers lectures? Take photos of notes on the board? Can the teacher give you a study guide?

Have you tried coming home and allowing yourself a 45 nap or just relaxation? Clear the negative day out of your mind.

I'm saddened by knowing at your age you have so much on your plate. I'm sending positive vibes your way, prayers and hugs.

Glad your smart to reach out to this group. Keep your head up.

You're so young and brave. Can you speak to your mother, a teacher, your step dad about what's happening for you? An adult that can help you work through each issue and wrap some support around you will lighten your burden... life keeps changing and I hope more sunshine comes your way soon : )
