Okay, so I've been up since about 3 am this morning so pardon if I sound a little bit upset. It seems like all I've done this year is recover from these stupid ass abscesses. Well, wouldn't you know it. Another one popped up on me and just absolutely blew the hell up. Not to the point of cellulitis, but is just leaking all over the damn place. I'm about ready to give up with it right now. Not suicidal, just really freaking frustrated. I've tried everything that I can think of, but I'm really struggling with it.
Amanda, I'm so sorry. It's like your body just refuses to get rid of this infx and as one place heals it attacks another. Have you thought of going to a new infectious disease group, or hospital, for alternative treatment? I use to work in a long term care hospital, but there was also a clinic others came to daily, who weren't hospitalized. In my mind it seems your body needs flushing from the inside out with abx (antibiotics) on a longer term basis. Have they used anything like Hibiclens? Every procedure done on anyone here, they must wash with Hinduisms twice before the surgery, within 4 & 12 hours ahead. I'm just grasping at ideas. I know you are beyond frustrated, and I would be too. I'm keeping you in my prayers. (((Hugs))) 🙂🙏🌼
Flappys, yes they have me on Hibiclens once daily. There isn't really another infectious disease specialist in our county who doesn't also have a long waiting list to be seen. Thankfully, have an appointment with him on Wednesday morning, since the oral Clindamycin didn't work that the surgeon prescribed. I told him it wouldn't but did he listen to me, NOPE!!!! Oh well, hopefully 1 more visit with him tomorrow and that should(fingers crossed) be it already.
Flappys, the worst is over already. Still have to go back on Christmas Eve morning to do a quick check and packing change. It really wasn't too bad, as long as I couldn't see what was being done or have him talk to me. I could not move to get comfortable though, because of awkward positioning on my part. Was on my right side, head facing forward with butt and right hip to the sky. Yeah exciting but I actually had a small victory. Usually there is a medical assistant in the room but everyone else was busy so it was just the 2 of us, which even surprised me.
