Have you seen CDC input on opiod prescribing suggestions next year?

I
read a few websites on on it. Some were very extreme. Some felt that chronic pain should not be treated with opioids. But the new suggestions were to be given to new chronic pain patients primarily. The part that concerned me the most was Where it says it meets scientific standards. It makes me think of Fibromyalgia which they know something is going on but have no is easy what it is. How would they know the scientific standard to that. I wish we were all built with ports and we can plug each other into our ports and let the other person know what we are experiencing. They should make that a regulation. This makes me mad. I do think I will have problems with my pain melds but new people who suffer with severe pain shouldn't hAve to go through further scrutiny then they are now.

The irony is that by tightening the noose on opioids they are pushing states to legalize both medical marijuana and recreational.

Big distinction between medical and recreational. We need to help break the stigma.

Vicodin & the 80-20 CBD-THC both started out as plants. People follow a process to turn them into a pill. I take the pill and could not tell the difference if you gave me a blindfold test.

I feel much less STRESS because I'm not worried about my PCP or surgeon saying "no."

Been using the Simpson oil pill for 2 months. Went from 4 Percocet's a day Nov-May to 6 Vicodin's a day July-Aug to now ... Zero to 2 per day. My average is 1 Vicoden per day.

Thanks to Flonaze, we know "6 is greater than 1" and I feel much better mentally only taking 1 opioid pill per day. I feel healthier!

Hope this info helps you.

Rkolle01 and Profiler I think the government will not stop until it gets to the point to where we will not be able to get any opioid for our pain. But this will not stop the drug addicts from getting all they want. I already have to go to my PCP every month to get a 30 day supply. Rkolle01 what is a Simpson oil pill, this is the first time I have heard of it. That's fantastic that you have been able to get down to 1Vicoden a day. I would love that I take 5mg of a Fentonyl Patch which you change every 3 days, Hyrocodone / Acetaminophen 325 / 7.5, h 800 mg 4 x day, Savella 50 mg 2x day. I would love to be able to stop Taking all of these all the time. I worry about my Liver having fatty liver disease from being so obese for my whole life. I went from 268 down to 171 in 2 years after having Gastric Vertical Sleeve Surgery. Profiler I am going to check out that website you put on here.

I wouldn't worry about an accidental overdose. Lots of those souls chop up the Vicodin & snort it or they take a Fentanyl patch & chew it. I can't imagine that kind of desperation.

Google and YouTube "Rick Simpson oil". Simpson oil is medical marijuana. A guy named Rick Simpson created a very simple recipe that involves taking a marijuana plant and putting it into a bucket of rubbing alcohol. Drain after 3 mins into a crock pot or some sort of slow cooker. The rubbing alcohol evaporates and you're left with a gummy, black licorice substance. I use a syringe to inject into the pills. Costs about $100 for pain independence if you can find a truly compassionate care giver. The shops in MI carge $500 for the same. Cheaper to do yourself if you can.

I'm married; 13-year old daughter so anything besides the pills are banned in my house. This is a compromise between my daughter/wife and myself. Even though the vaporizer emits absolutely no smell, I took one for the team and agreed to no more vaping :(

Well it's been coming down the pike for a while. They are just using the drug addicts as an excuse in my opinion. System of a down BYOB. We're living in a police state.

I have to ask what BYOB means lol!

I'm on pretty high doses of meds. I wish I didn't have to take them but I do. I had several cut down because according to the government there is no proof that a higher dose helps the pain better. (I guess the fact that it was helping me wasn't proof enough). It seems more and more that they want to take away as much medication as they can. Believe me, I don't wish to have to be on them, if it helps the pain, it's all I have. I'm waiting to see if my pain management office is going to become certified for the medical marijuana programs. If so, I can at least find out if it will help and give me the option of taking a lot less medication..🌻🙏🏻

Alwayz, I hope your medical clinic will get certified and maybe medical marijuana will be a God send for you! You are such an inspiration to me. Thank you for being so uplifting and positive despite all of your own pain. Much love ✌️💜

At least you live in a state that has or is about to have medical marijuana. Try living in Texas with chronic pain! The only reason I can get meds is my MRI of my spine is just plain ugly. Even the Drs shiver when they see the actual scans. Then they look at me like I'm some freak of nature cause I can still walk...a bit with a walker. I just tell them I'm a country girl from Texas and we don't give up our independence easily. I don't, won't and never will!!
