Headche hell any help will be appreciated

Mar 17, 2016 7:40 PM

Any help would be so appreciated. I've taken my regular meds and one dose of tramadol. I'm in a dark quiet room. And feels like I'm being hit repeatedly in my temples and round behind my ear.

I just talked to my wife newfibrogirl, she said it might be a migraine and like already suggested, you should go to e.r and get some medicine. For it.

Can you handle peppermint oil? I get peppermint halo roll on from sage and apply it topically. Just stay away from your eyes if you do it because it makes them water if you get to close and I'm sure it'll burn them if it comes in contact

I've never tried peppermint oil but I have peppermint tea.. Maybe I'll try that

Try an ice pack on ur neck and if that fails forehead. I always find my migraines are coming from my neck pain. It's worth a try but it certainly gives me some relief! xx

How do you feel today? Is your headache gone? I get migraines a few times a month. They are brutal! What ended up working for you? There were some great suggestions here... I am always curious to know what works for others, sometimes what usually works for me - (pressure points, dark room, quiet, etc) well just doesn't work. I hope you're free from it today.

If mine lasts too long I go the the ER or Texas med clinic to get a cocktail of meds (2-3shots) that immediately take away the migraine but you're not allowed to drive after so I have to get a parent to take me

Thanks.guys for all the tips I'm not sure which tip worked I used them all exxt ice pack because I was to weak and in pain to get up again. But I was in a dark somwhat quiet room and I had a blast over my eyes. And I had some peppermint tea. I did finally fall asleep . I still have some pressure around my eye but it's not as bad as last night. Thank you all.

I know your headache is subdued now, but in the future, drinking a cup of coffee quickly will help. I have a neurological condition that causes chronic headaches and usually requires a spinal tap to relieve the pressure in my head. Sometimes I can catch them early and down something caffeinated quickly and avoid the ER.

Newfibrogirl - I also have daily headaches & about 3-8 migraines a month. Lately to add to my regular headache I have been getting another pain in my head on top & another on the front right side. It's so weird to be hurting so differently in areas of my head at the same time. 😥🙄

Yes..I have the same sensation.. And also I have a banging feeling as if someone is actively hitting me in the head on the side. Both sides
