CatchMyPain Community and Pain Diary App to manage chronic illness

Hello

I'm new here so hello everyone. Brief bio I've been ill a while now but I'm undiagnosed just waiting for my appointment from rheumatology to come through after seeing every other doctor in the world. I'm now fairly certain I have fibromyalgia and IBS. My life in the last 3yrs has changed dramatically and I'm still adjusting to it. I've gone from cycling 8 miles a day for my quite physical job to really bad dizzy spells to collapsing in a heap from exhaustion/pain etc just getting out of bed.

I totally understand how you feel. I've felt the same way over the course of 5 years, but with the right treatment, things seem a lot more hopeful and maybe you'll find a way to manage the pain and learn what helps you. I'm starting to go through this process and I can finally manage to stand or sit all day instead of wanting to collapse on my bed and just lay there whenever I'm at home. People on this app are really encouraging and helpful with questions. Good luck with your diagnosis, sometimes this pain can result from a problem that's easily fixed, so stay positive! ☺️

Welcome to the group mefinest. Am.so sorry you are dealing with so much. Hoping this rheumatologist is knowledgeable and able to not only diagnose you but find a treatment plan that works for you. I am also new here but it seems like a great group of people supporting one another.

Hang in there. You may have Chronic Pain but the trick is to not let it have you.

((( gentle hugs )))

Welcome to our community family Mefinest! I relate to going from very busy physical labor to barely able to get through the day. I left my job in 2010 to recuperate from major surgery, only to have fibro, sjogrens, hypothyroidism, dizziness, imbalance, and many other health problems jump on board. I went from lifting 40-50 lb boxes to needing a cane or Walker to hold me steady. But I'm good with it all, especially since finding this wonderfully supportive community. Just a heads up on the rheumy doc... Many of us have rheumy docs who do not treat our fibro (they refuse to), and we have pain specialists or PCP docs to do so. Hugs love and prayers as you wait to get answers and find ways to cope! πŸ™‚πŸ’•πŸ™πŸŒΈ
