CatchMyPain Community and Pain Diary App to manage chronic illness

Hello again. :) 2 things.

1. App related. I can't put the date backward before 11pm for a day prior entry. I can hit pm, but it won't accept any time before 11. I think because it's military time, but 13, 14 etc won't show. It goes 01 to 12 then stops. So perpetual am time only. This kinda leads to question or observation 2 which is ra related.

2. Showered last night. Was gently washing myself when suddenly my middle finger felt like it got broken. For no reason. I swear to you all, within a 2 hour time frame. I saw my outer knuckle of my middle finger go from flat to pushed out pregnant looking.

There is NO way it'd progress THAT fast..... Is there??? I don't have a rheumy cuz no insurance so I'm hoping someone here can say yeah that can happen /happened to me/ naw girl you cray, or whatever......

You may have inflamed the joint. I get this constantly. You can be doing a really simple thing... Then POW..

Chromashadows, like GenderBentBoy said, it could be inflammation or strain.

I've been told I don't have RA. I do have OA & sjogrens, which my PCP said sjogrens can affect the joints similarly to RA. I've had episodes since October where random joints on my fingers would swell and be painful, anywhere from 1-4 days. And then it disappeared just as quickly. It's usually just one joint on any finger and only 1-3 fingers at a time per hand. Oddly enough my last episode was last week for 3 days. Then suddenly I awoke Saturday with all over pain and stiffness, so bad I could barely walk. It was in every joint. I don't know what you're episode was, but I do not think you are crazy. If you are then maybe I am too? 😱 Nah, my hubby was my witness! Lol 😉 Keep documenting any episodes. Then let your doc know. You may have something going on they aren't aware of. Hugs & prayers! 🙂💕🙏🌼

Chromashadows, it is very likely that you have just inflamed the joint but the problem is that finger joint inflammation and a broken finger have similar symptoms so if this is the first time that this has happened then you should see a doctor, wait 5 days and if the inflammation and pain hasn't decreased then you need to get an X-Ray. I personally would wait 5 days and see how you are feeling but see a doctor after that to get everything confirmed
