CatchMyPain Community and Pain Diary App to manage chronic illness

Hello fellow warriors.

Jun 06, 2017 6:54 AM

I'm new to this.
I am 32 and live in Devon, England.
I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, ME/CFS and Raynaud's Syndrome in the last few years but the pain and fatigue has been getting worse in the last 6 months or so. I also have had clinical depression for 15 years (NEVER suicidal - thank God).
I am in constant pain, constantly tired and feel quite down.
I am awaiting a decision on a PIP (Personal Independence Payment) claim as coping with these conditions, working part-time, as well as trying to raise a three year old with little outside support is nigh on impossible.
I could do with some care, love and support from people who know what I'm going through.
I look forward to getting to know you all xx

Welcome to the community FlossysMummy. I have Fibro as well and was recently diagnosed with arthritis in my hips and spine. I'm sorry you have chronic pain. I'm from Central Ohio in USA. I've been on SSDI ( disability social security) for 23 years. I'm 60 years old. I don't have kids. I have a dog and cat. I hope you find this app useful.

Thank you for taking the time to reply, AnimalLover2.
I am sorry that you have arthritis too. The pain must be awful. What sort of pain relief are you offered for that? I can't imagine that there is a lot that can alleviate that kind of pain, as it's central. My hips are badly affected by the Fibro so I can empathise a little. x

Hi FlossysMummy pull up a chair to the table. We got a pot of coffee on and some hot tea still on the counter. Your safe and home now with us.

I started with JRA in my teens and just got worst from there.(bursitis, fibro, CFS, etc...) a horrific car wreck Did me in on 2009 with brain injuries and a busted up body. Been on disability since. Have a wife and 2 young teens still living with us. Looking foward to talking more with you. Excuse me for now... My bagel is ready from the toaster!!!

Hello Overcomer.
Wow! You've been through a lot! I know there is always someone worse off than me - I try to stay positive with that in mind. These conditions aren't terminal but God knows they're life limiting.
I'm in awe of people like you and AnimalLover2 who are going through so much.
Hope you're enjoying your bagel! 😉 x

Aw, thanks Frustrated. I really feel for those with Arthritis. At least the Fibro, ME/CFS, Raynaud's and Depression isn't physically damaging my body.
I have a lot of respect for those with Arthritic/Joint pain. x
