The sad thing is, a lot of the staff know me from previous visits, I should have my name engraved above the bed,it'll save them writing it each timeπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Gem-IDK when I get out, unfortunately other issues always 'pop up' when I am in hospital.
I'm Quadriplegic and have a hard time being able to produce a cough, this can often lead to chest infections which can then lead to pneumonia...I'm In this time because of a UTI,again for me these can be really dangerous, but whilst in here the nurses noticed I had a pressure sore starting on the side of my knee, so that has to be watched. The UTI is clearing up,it's the things that 'pop up' for the ride...πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚Hopefully I'm out soon though.Although my older ladies will be very upset that they don't have my 'youthful wit'(I'm 36) to keep them entertained πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜Š

Aww man, you should write a book called 'memoirs from the hospital bed' and can tell the stories of your buddies when you go. πŸ“– it could keep your mind busy. I hate them places =οΏ£Ο‰οΏ£=

@Jahmac, I'm wide awake since 2 am, likely from the Prednisone. My pain has started to go back down since reapplying the Fentanyl patch yesterday at 10am, & 2 doses of hydrocodone. I think as long as I keep the patch on now I'll have it under control and won't need the hydrocodone too. Your think having taken it at bedtime is have gotten 5-6 hrs sleep, but nope. I've got 2 more days & 6 doses of Prednisone to go. But it was a necessary evil since the crap was getting in my lungs. I could barely take a good breath in on the gadget they have me to exercise my lungs at home, so I've not been inhaling my asthma meds as well as I needed to. When I started coughing up phlegm I put a call in to my PCP and he called in the Prednisone and antibiotic immediately. I'm still having issues swallowing foods, almost choking on some when it tries to go down the wrong pipe. It's improved some, in that I can swallow some solid now. But I am concerned it's not improving fast enough. I had some problems swallowing after my stomach surgery in May, but not this bad. Of course this time they had to move my windpipe out of the way. But choking on ice cream or creamed corn seems like it's not right. I guess long term patience is something I still need to work on. 😯

Are they talking about a tentative discharge date yet? I know how stir crazy it is being cooped up at home, but I can't even imagine being in a hospital bed (not the most comfortable!) so long. Bless your heart! I know you'll be glad to go home. Speaking of your room mates stories, I miss sitting around with the older generations at family gatherings, listening to their stories! My dad's the oldest left, at 86 with Alzheimer's. He gets his stories crossed now, but before he had lots of interesting stories. My grandparents had the best!! My hubby has great memory recall and can talk for hours, never forgets a name or face. Me, I'm lucky I remember my own name! Lol I hope you won't develop any more issues and can go home soon. Hugs love & prayers for a speedy recovery! πŸ™‚πŸ’•πŸ™πŸŒΈ
