CatchMyPain Community and Pain Diary App to manage chronic illness

Hello, I'm new here

Hi, I'm new here and don't know exactly how this works. I have a lot of pain all over my body due to different things. For example, I have constant chronic wrist pain, but I also get severe neck ache from time to time, entirely separate to that. When creating a pain entry, do I put both-separate-pains in the same entry, on the same body, or do I enter them as separate entries? I know it's a silly question, but I appreciate any thoughts on it. Thank you xx

I would put it on the same entry just so that i don't end up making lots of entries. Just put in your notes that they aren't related.
But it's your personal choice as to how you fill out your entries.

Welcome. Not a silly question at all. I use entries as an overview of the time period. You just have to play around with it and find what works for you.

Welcome to our community family Keepingitgoing! I hope you will feel as much "among friends" here as most of us do. It's a safe place to share whatever you feel like, without judgement: anger, pain, sadness, faith, happiness, fear, etc. We all are different, but was all have chronic pain, so we truly understand.

When I first started using the CMP app I would enter all pain that I was feeling multiple times throughout the day, denoting levels of pain by colors. For instance, every day I have all over general achy pain, so I color the whole body in the peach tone. (It wasn't until months later that my fibro-brain realized there was a yellow color... Lol! 😱). Anyway, my tablet started running slower and freezing up. I contacted "Help" desk & they told me it was because I was making too many entries which slowed it down. Now I try to make one entry for all pain in one day, but if I forget I just make the next entry start date/time where the last entry left off. Sometimes I have 2-3 days in one entry now. I also make notes of specifics, like "I ripped and fell, right knee hurts.". Whatever works best for you is the key. 🙏🌼

THank you everyone. You all seem like such wonderful people, I feel blessed to have found this app. I had intended on using it only for personal record keeping, I had no idea there was a community! Thank you again xx
