Help if possible(not an emergency)

Okay as some of you guys probably know, I've been dealing with pelvic pain off and on for close to 9 months. It usually gets more intense just when I want to lie down and go to bed. Well tonight, I've got a bit of an issue. Just had 2 abscesses lanced in the surgeons office this morning. Can't lay on my back because of my leg. If I move, it starts throbbing. Can't lay on my left side or my stomach because of pelvic pain. Anybody have any ideas? Leg pain right now is tolerable, but I can't use my normal distraction method which is the bathtub cause dressings can't be changed for 24 hours total. Any ideas? I'm just desperate to get some sleep!

Any recliners available. Try propping pillows up and sleep in sitting position. Might try some over counter sleep aid like melatonin to help you doze off. Hope you feel better soon

Nope, no recliner. But I didn't even think about propping pillows up. Thank you.

Amanda I am so sorry that you are going thru this. Try using rice hot packs for pelvic pain, and use pillows for support. Sending prayers and hugs.

I second the pillows. I put one under my lower back and in between my legs when I was pregnant to help the pain and it allowed me to get comfortable

Amanda, when I had for surgery I had to prop with pillows. If I laid flat not only would my GERD flare, the coccyx pain flares up with my sciatic nerve. I positioned six pillows short of like a chevron or arrow tip, rotating left and right, and place a rolled quilt (baby) in the small of my back. If you don't have melatonin, do you have benadryl or Tylenol PM? It helps to sleep. Good luck and best wishes for sweet dreams. I know you're awful tired by now! 🙏🌼

Flappys, I finally ended up getting some nighttime cold medication in me and I finally slept. Not long enough but I'll try to nap again later if I can.

Amanda that's good to hear. I've had to take Tylenol PM the last two nights due to reaction to flu shot and/or weather changes; head and chest cold. I hope today is a better day for you! 🙏🌼

Flappys, I think this not sleeping bit is due to my head cold more then pain. Stupid weather due to hurricane.

I totally understand. When we were in FL earlier this week I told my hubby I couldn't breathe well because my head was study. We were 6 miles from the beach but the air was oppressive from the storms. Hope you feel better soon. 🙏🌼
