Help!! Muscle twitches driving me nuts

Aug 03, 2017 6:41 PM

Hi. I have a question and hoping you all can help. Does anyone get strange muscle twitching /tightening in strange areas of the body? Such as bottom lip, thumb, ear and anywhere else that seems unusual or is it just me?

🤔 I have never had them in those areas but I do get them in my legs and arms, That does seem unusual! I hope you work out why you have been having them💕

Anne6, I do...it seems to be my left side mostly and I've noticed that side is becoming numb...or eye will twitch....I also get the thumb thing and I just watch and laugh...don't know what it means...other areas sometimes but doesn't last as long as my lip and hands...
Hope this puts you at ease, you're not alone!

I have muscle tremors in right hand &arm & do a tight jerk in my torso/spine periodically. Pain meds can do this but also the gabapentin/pregabulin drugs. When I increase my dose it gets worse.

I get muscle twitches sometimes in specific areas like legs, arms or the sides in my turso but a lot of the time it's my whole body.

I have found that my twitches have got a whole lot better now that I take magnesium supplements, I take 600mg a day (250mg tablet twice a day and 100mg in my multi vitamins tablet in the morning).
I still get some muscle twitches but they're not as frequent or as severe.

The magnesium takes a few weeks to get in your system before you will notice a difference.

Magnesium is also meant to help with relaxing your muscles, helps support your nervous system and helps improve fatigue.

I'm sending you positive vibes and warm healing hugs xx

I've had twiching in my fingers, arms, and legs. Especially at night when I'm trying to sleep. Sometimes I get pain in my right jaw which is weird.

Try taking magnesium. It helps with twitching.

I learned something, now I know what to take when my body parts start to twitch.
