Help..Whole left side is weak and feels very weird.

Oct 17, 2015 9:09 AM

I can't walk without help and my balance is real bad. It feels like from the left side if my neck down to my toes has a million little needles poking me and its throbbing on that side only.
I woke this way in the middle of the night. I worked in the yard yesterday evening. May have overdone it since I've not felt well the last couple of days but, it was work that had to be done before it starts to get bad...You know how it is.
Anyway, This scared me. My hubs had to hold me up. Kind of swinging my foot forward to walk on that side. It's almost like it's not part of my body.
Anyone ever have this happen??

I'm not really in a lot of pain, btw.

Sounds like you could have pinched a nerve. However, if it's your entire left side and you're weak to the point that your hubby has to hold you up, I would go to the ER or an Urgent Care Center. Just to be on the safe side. I wish you the best of luck and sending {{{{Hugs}}}} and prayers your way. Feel better. 🙏🏻🌻

I habe had it with left leg but never the whole side. I think we all understand how you had to get it done but it isn't worth doing yourself in for. Remember to pace yourself. Do as much as you can without exceeding your base line. I agree though that if it is the whole side i would go to the er. Let us know how you go and what the outcome is. Thinking positive thoughts for you xxxx

Kind of freaks me out a little. I was bent over a lot yesterday evening so that could be it. Hopefully it will correct itself soon. I haven't tried to walk again in the last hour. My hubby had to work in the office upstairs. I hinted before he went if he thought I should see someone but he said he thinks I just overdid it again. I am bad about that but this has never happened. It seems that the pain would continue as it did in the wee hours this morning, but little pain and all I've had is a tramidol and my regular meds. No breakthrough pain at all that I can't handle. Idk. If I still can't walk shortly, I guess I will see if he'll take me to the er.
Man, it's always an adventure isn't it?!?!

Sleepingbeauty, I'm in agreement with the others that you should go to the ER, regardless of pain. Whole one sided weakness could be more than just overdoing it. It's better to be safe than sorry. I'm sending up prayer right now! (((Hugs))). 🙏🌼

SleepingBeauty, I'm in agreement with Flappys, you need to go to the ER. Again, better safe then sorry! Hugs!
