So they think I have fibro because of all of my pain but I was wondering if you guys have neck pain mines always on the right side

They say I have fibro but I don't think I do. But I have terrible neck pain. It hurts on both sides. It hurts like three inches up the back of my skull. The main pain is the bone. But then the muscles feel bruised. Like someone literally beat me there and made me black and blue it gets to such an extent that I can't hold my head up and I use a neck brace. I have been trying to find a little device to exercise my neck that goes over the door. It is really simple and effective. But it cost a hundred dollars. It is not worth that. I think I can make my own.

Naenae, I have constant pain up the back of my neck & skull, and on the lower right side with the top of the shoulder. It's all this to my cervical disc issues. My fibro basically causes muscle pain all over. I get daily cervicogenic headaches. 🙏🌼

I too have constant neck pain all on the right side and up the back of my head with constant head pain on the right side and behind eye. It has been about 4 years with neck pain. Also pain in right arm all the way to hand. I have c4 c5 herniated disc with femoral narrowing and compression of nerve also c5 hernicated disc. I take cymbalta, gabapentin, medical marijuanna and lidocaine and ketamine pain infusions every 2 months nothing takes away all the pain. I can no longer work. Next I'm trying radialfrequency ablation therapy to c4 c5 I hope it works. Also benn diagnosed with fibromyalgia. so I wonder what is it is the pain all fibro or more disc related?

I too have neck pain, I usu ally wake up with it, changed pillows several times, never helps. Arthritis showed up in xrays, I also have fybromyalgia and migraines which sometimes may or may not be caused by neck problems. I don't take any drugs for it, started myself on tumeric 3 weeks ago, no noticeable effects yet, tumeric helps many people with pain.

I also have neck pain, but I don't have fibro. Also, mine is not everyday, it's only when the weather changes, like it has been today. Mine is at C1 and at C7 basically. Came from an neck injury at some point in time, but don't remember exactly what. Only thing visible on x-ray is osteoarthritis, but that was it. Mine is always across the whole disc basically, and not confined to one specific area.

Naenae, I found out at PT yesterday that some of my neck pain is not room the cervical discs (DDD). It's because of hard painful knots around my scalp base, neck, and shoulders. I could not believe the pain relief following the PT massage! 🙂💕🙏🌼

Hi naenae2 I'm sorry about your pain. I don't have fibro but I do have neck pain that comes and goes on both sides. My docs think it's related to my scoliosis.

I have neck pain up into the back of my skull and fibro, herniated and cracked disks. Not sure which pain is from what. Also feeling of ice pick stabbing eyes and in ears. I try to stay calm and cheerful but the pain gets so overwhelming and exhausting that sometimes I feel 110. Then I tend to isolate.

I have nerve pain in my neck frequently. But also in my arms, lower back, upper back, and legs. It is just more worrying in my neck. I am undiagnosed officially, but I have fibromyalgia according to all doctors and all indications. That doesn't mean I don't have something else too though. Still looking into it.

I have pain in my neck, back, and shoulders. I walk strangely though, and curve my back too much. I'm trying to teach myself how to walk to reduce the neck pain. My neck pain is also the usual cause for a flare up, so sorry you're dealing with this!

Sorry to say but pain in the neck and the back of the head are very common for people with Fibro. It's relentless! I use Neurontin it helps me a lot, I started with a low dose and worked up until it helped. Neurontin can make you very tired. I have heard others say that medical weed really helps with this and Fibro pain. I have not tried this as it's not legal in my state. If it were .... you bet I would give it a try if it would help with the constant pain. Wishing the best for you. Gentle hugs

I have multiple spine issues throughout my spine but that wasn't diagnosed for years after chronic fatigue and pain then fibromyalgia.

Knowing what I know now I would have pushed harder to figure out the issues. When you let doctors put the fibromyalgia blanket over you it becomes more of a fight for other diagnosis. Every pain becomes fibro so they don't took further. I actually drew on my back with a sharpie circle where pain started arrows of how it moved and backed it up with this makes it worse, this makes it better and so on. Having a pinpoint area it went quick from there, a shot in the spine that did nothing, off to xray which showed issues and finally the mri.

Don't ever let some doctor or person convince you of something you yourself don't believe. We are our best advocates. Don't give up until you have the answers you need. If you have something wrong in your neck there may be things that can relieve the pain and help it from getting worse.

Hi naenae2, Sorry you're having neck pain. I just got a cervical X-ray done for pain that vibrates down my arms, and neck pain on the left. I don't have fibromyalgia. I have trouble with the discs and with the cushioning (so new a diagnosis I don't even know the terms). And I've got burrs where my ulnar nerves thread through. How do you usually deal with the pain? Have you had any X-rays or scans?
