Hey guys! I just downloaded this app because I was recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Does anyone else on here struggle with it? Itd be great to get some advice from someone who has been dealing with it. The diagnosis was hard but I'm looking on the bright side of things :) Hope you're having a great day! - RecentlyFibroFighter
Hi RecentlyFibroFighter, welcome to the community. I have fibro too among other things. I'm sorry you also have it. There's others on here who have fibro. We'll be glad to answer any questions you may have. There's also older topics that may answer questions. You can search for topics.
Welcome to the community RecentlyFibroFighter. I too have fibro among many other chronic illnesses, pain or otherwise. I was diagnosed around 2007-2009 I think but my memory is more challenging as I get older. The most important thing to share with you is that no two fibromyalgia sufferers are alike, not in intensity of symptoms nor in ways of finding relief. Be open minded to trying various options until you find what works best for you. I have 2 sisters & 2 cousins who also have fibro, and we all function at different levels; some bed bound & some fairly easy to function except in flares. I very recently lost a sister to an aneurysm so my mind isn't so clear on suggestion specifics. Also pay attention to things you do or eat that may trigger pain increases. Sugar is a known inflammatory agitator. I can't climb stairs, walk beaches, hike mountain trails, or get into swimming pools or hot tubs anymore; each activity affects me differently, but in general increases my all over pain. Keep a journal of things to discuss with your doctor(s). I hope these suggestions are helpful, and searching old discussions on fibro you will see many different suggestions. Hugs love & prayers as you find what works best for you!🙂💞❤🙏🌷
