His pain came back

Jun 09, 2016 2:23 AM

Hi guys - have a question to ask. I'm a chronic pain sufferer after an accident last year and I think I survived the worse (so far) mainly because the support of my partner. He had a debilitating back pain after an annular tear on L5/S1 for 25 years but it settles after he had his back surgery 4 years ago. So he was pain free for 4 years. However, he had a bad cold last week and suddenly his back pain came back! Is this even possible? I'm very worried about him because he told me that the pain is the same pre-op. Anyone went through this? I'd like to know if there's anything he can do... Thank you!

Hi i would say go to docs.. kidney's, liver, prostrate. Could be either so best get checked. I think we chronic pain patients become complacent about it. Its not always the same cause. My doc was complacent (putting everthing down to mt chronic pain) that they missed a severe uti and then a severe kidney infection which went into sepcis. Horrible ok now though
Anyway get checked out. Good luck.

I think a visit to the doctor is a good idea too. I hope it's nothing major! Hugs & prayers! 🙂💕🙏🌼
