In my search to find out what's wrong with me, I found out about hormone specialists and how they can level out your hormones with these pellets they insert into your hip. I've read where some doctors thinks that hormones have a lot to do with your thyroid and I have that as well.

Welcome to the community Bamagirl! I've been away for awhile and just reading all the posts. I'm not telling you to use or not use, but just sharing my experience and thoughts.
I lost my uterus at 34, and was put on HRT two years later. At age 42 they took my ovaries due to multiple cysts, and upped my HRT dose. At 50 the removed a very large paraovarian cyst (grew from cells like the ovaries). That cyst caused all kinds of damage to my pelvic region. They took me off HRT, and I'm now 54. Last year a new GYN doc put me on HRT again, explaining the thyroid and weight and memory and other issues could be affected by low hormones. This same doc wanted me to start 3 adrenal gland supplements based on one abnormal saliva test. Instead I went to my endocrinologist who ran blood tests and adrenal glands function tests, all which came back normal. Then she started she'd had several run ins with that same doc about similar issues with many other patients, and she digested I come off the HRT. I did, and have been suffering through hot flashes and major overheating for 2 months. I saw my PCP yesterday who is running blood tests just to make sure it's not something other than menopausal symptoms. I told him that I do not want to go back on HRT meds because I'm suspicious of them having caused all the cysts, which I never had prior to my hysterectomy. His response was, "Well the newest studies out are suggesting no HRT use because they cause as many problems as they help. And when you think about it, our own mother's and grandmother's went through menopause just fine without HRT meds.".
It's definitely something you should research and weigh risks and benefits. Hugs love and prayers! 🙂💕🙏🌸
