Horrible headache..help

Nov 11, 2016 4:54 PM

I woke up last night with a very sore inner jaw. I took my meds and tried to ignore it. Well early hour in the morning woke up feeling if I had be pushed in the wall with my face. Sharp staking pain in my ears that radiated three my teeth and down my jaw then up to the top of my head. Warm compresses helps for a short time and eating is a nightmare.
Any tips or ideas

Try these three videos - they helped me. I also cannot sleep on my side anymore or my jaw dislocates and causes headaches. I can also have jaw pain from grinding my teeth and end up with headaches. Your dentist and chiropractor can help too. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=beYgjLGAwEI

Are you maybe clenching your jaw subconsciously from the stress of upcoming surgery? It sounds like the headaches i get when I'm stressed and clenching, or when my neck muscles get upset and decide to aggravate my facial nerve.
Unfortunately if that's the case the only thing that helps is to stop clenching. Relaxation exercises, muscle relaxants if you have them, heat, soup.

The only thing I have for pain is tramadol and Tylenol arthritis. Hope tomorrow is better I've git errands to do for the next trip . Thanks for advice guys

Newfibrogirl that sounds very much like you're grinding your teeth or clenching your jaw. I do both especially when I'm stressed. The pain was in my ear and my jaw and the pain would build up until it triggered a migraine. At one point I was having a migraine at least once a week. About 7 or 8 years ago I was put on a low dose of amitriptyline and the migraines went from weekly to once every 2 month.
Unfortunately due to my ex husband, getting a non-molestation order against him and the divorce I now tigeminal neuralgia 😣
