Flappsy I have seen minature pony's as service animals, as therapy animals I think it would be fantastic to be Abe to have one for my self.

I could not get the link to work Flappys.
I have one miniature her former job was a therapy mini in nursing homes. Currently she is partially trained as a service animal. When I start to learn to walk again, I can hold onto her and she will walk at my pace. If I stop she stops. If I fell she would stand while I used her to get myself up. She also can pick up her lead rope if I drop it. She has not been potty trained yet. We are still working on that. She is also broke to drive and I plan to drive her when I get better. I want to drive her now but my kids refuse to help me hitch her up because they also have PTSD from my pony driving accident. My seven year old can't even remember what it is like for mommy to walk. Anyway I sent our mare to Donna Scarpa after my Dr wrote the prescription for a service animal but I ran out of money for training.😢 Donna has her own YouTube channel DonnaScarpa. You can see the video Tonka's Job to get an idea of what she does. Donna is a horse whisperer. I also had my therapist write a letter for me to show an emotional need to keep her. As well as my son's therapist too with his autism. My brother with his depression was able to get a letter from his pyschiatrist. We are in the middle of a city with a large back yard. My neighbor originally reported me to Animal Control saying it was too smelly to bbq (which was a lie because we had the mini for four months before she even knew she was here. The neighbor was bbqing that whole time). They happened to have a house guest stay in the mother-in-unit above their house and they could see me sitting in the chair lunging our mini. Next day A/C came. The AC lady owns horses so she was cool. We gave her the letters from the doctors and therapists and she gave them to the city attorney. She said the city did not want to violate any federal ADA laws. Thanks to God we have them. We got the mini mare a friend as her human herd wasn't keeping her happy. Horses are herd animals. The neighbor lady is leaving me alone though as she has been yelling at her kids a lot and getting locked out of the house by them. She came over a couple months ago with some of our mail. Then she said she didn't want anyone to report that she is shouting at her kids - they were just misbehaving. I knew she was nervous because of her trying to get me in trouble. So I don't worry about keeping two when I hear her shout at her eight year old what kind of a nut job are you. The other neighbors are nice. They know and they don't care.

Me too Weezie. My dad had some horse on our farm.

EquineSister, That is so awesome about your horse! I'm glad you're doctors letters helped you keep her. We all have neighbors like yours. I rechecked the link and it's correct. Have you tried just typing in thepeachpit.org? Wishing you a blessed day! 🙏🌼
