Hot 🔥v/s Cold ⛄ & No In Between This Year

Sep 08, 2015 8:26 AM

My sensitivity to temp changes just started about three years ago, especially to cold. I've always had a tendency to overheat quickly, especially when menopause hit. But I'm over that, and still overheat with the littlest activity. Then I get chilled from sweating. We went to the beach in 2010 and the ocean nor the pool/hottub water bothered me.

Then when we went this July it was like omg! I couldn't get out of the pool or hottub fast enough. My hubby has always washed the dishes because I wasn't able to tolerate hot water on my hands, and since last year that has worsened too. My showers are luke-warm, like for a baby's skin. Lol In cold weather my hands change colors, white, red, blue. Two docs keep hinting at Raynaud's but won't call it.

For the past 2 weeks our temps have dropped 10 degrees. At night I have the thermostat on 75 just to breathe easier and sleep better. But lately during the night I've been pulling the blanket up halfway. I've even had to wear my gloves a couple of nights, or I wake very stiff in my fingers. Several nights have been mid to upper 60's. In the winter we put our thermostat at 68-69, and I'm under 2 blankets. We haven't even officially entered Fall season, so I'm worried about what is coming weather wise! 🙏🌼

OMG, Flappsy!! Right now we are having another heat wave in NY. It is 93 with 70% humidity and the heat index makes it feel like 103!! I hate it. With hypothyroidism, it's very difficult to regulate one's body temperature and remain comfortable. I find I overheat very easily and then start to sweat, get a chill and freeze. It goes back and forth and sometimes I'm hot and cold at the same time and I usually cry then!! (Yes, I'm menopausal.. Yay!!😳). I am horrified about the winter coming. It's supposed to be worse than the last one and I'm already having anxiety over it. I suppose I shouldn't because there isn't anything I can do about the weather but deal with it. I hope you all have a blessed day and have a light pain load.💕🙏🏻🌻

Yeah AlwayZ, we are cooler than normal for this time of year. I don't know if anywhere is having normal weather for their region. We rarely see snow, nothing more than an inch. But we are way past due for one of those freak southeastern snow storms. Central GA hasn't had a big one since the 90's. I'm anxious about this coming winter too. 🙏🌼
