How about some new feet

Jan 27, 2016 12:35 PM

Suffer from oa in every joint, bone, from the cervical spine down to and including my toes. Am scheduled for knee replacement surgery on the 2nd, but my feet hurt awfully bad. Any suggestions other than cutting the darn things off!!!

Donamel, I feel you! Waiting to hear if I have RA! I have osteo arthritis in my back along with bulging and or hurniated disc in my back and the possible RA from my hands to my toes. My doctor has me on Gabapetien and gave me a steroid shot for inflammation, but if your joints are inflamed take Alieve as that what my doctor recommended, Also heat and or ice. I hope that helps!

Can't take Aleve or Tylenol. Have to wait till surgery to see when I'll be able to take ibuprofin again. I think your suggestion about heat or ice sounds good. Got to wait until doctor's office responds. You know what----this stuff sucks. Tired of everything. Hurting. And many non-disabled people taking life for granted. Sorry, had to vent just a little.

I agree with u. I don't know if there will ever be a way to get them to get it. But it is very frustrating.

I doubt it. But there are a few special human beings left on this earth who do and we're blessed to have them.

Moparmom, certainly hope you don't have ra. It is bad enough. You can have oa in your fingers as I do.

Donamel, I've had OA in my spine and knees for 2 decades. I UST found out it's in my left hip socket. Considering my dad, his brother, 3 aunts, a cousin, and a sister have all heard knee &/or hip replacements... I'm really not looking forward to the next decades! Lol πŸ™‚πŸ™πŸŒΌπŸ’•

Can you soak your feet in Epson salts and hot water? After the soaking I put Comfry oil or black seed oil on them. My feet always seem to get a second wind after that. My friend in the medical industry said feet absorb the electrolytes during the soak from the Epsom salts. Hope it helps. Sorry to hear you are not doing well. 🌻🌼🌸

Equine, what's the comfry oil & black dress oil? Is it from an herb shop? πŸ™‚πŸ™πŸŒΌπŸ’•

My friend makes the oil with organic comfrey she grows in her garden. It smells bad. I can find out the recipe if you are interested. And black seed oil is sold in health food stores and on line. It also has a strong scent. It comes from the black cumin seed and has medicinal properties. I think it is also helping keep the keloids away - God-willing.

Hi FlappysLady81 its been a while. I have oa in almost every joint and deterating neck and lower disks. I go to a pain management clinic every 6 weeks and get 12 injections in neck and back as well as 12 in lower back and epidural. About every 6 month i get injection in my hsnds. It makes the difference of wheather I can work or not. Also I have discovered horse liniment it really helps how I feel. I hope you feel better soon. Hugs to all.

Caregiver what kind of horse liniment?

Jan 29, 2016 12:25 AM

There's 2 that I have used that were good. I can't remember the name but its a white bottle with orange label I got it at wallmart. Another is a blue lotion and I bought that a horse stable shop. Either one works.
