How are you feeling today?

I don’t know about you but I struggle to answer this question every day. First off, every day is a challenge and it’s impossible to tell people truly how hard it is just to have someone say something like “but you look okay”. One day I may walk into work looking okay, yes, but in agony. Then another day need a cane to limp around but feel okay. People say they care but when they get the Truth really don't seem interested or honestly empathetic. I'm at the point that I just feel like saying I'm fine. When I have a good day people say, "I like this Richard" Do you not like me when I'm in pain?
I work two jobs and work my ass off. I don't take sick time and push through the worst of flare ups. I'm tired of feeling like a burden. My boyfriend rubs my leg and it helps so much. But I even feel like a burden to him. He doesn't rub my leg as much as he used to (daily) even though he knows I won't sleep unless he does (now maybe once a week). So tonight I rubbed his sore knee and went to bed wide awake in pain. I'm just at a loss of what to do. I ask for help and told often that they can't help or say they will but don't follow through. So tired...

Hello friend, my heart aches for you. I believe many people on here understand and have empathy for how you are feeling but certainly no one is in your shoes and no one knows how it feels to be you. Sometimes the “I know how you feel” can be more painful than everything else we face! That being said, I do feel like I burden my husband even though he is very patient and understanding. I feel very alone and scared of fibro at times. But anyone going through this battle knows the strength and courage it takes to tell our body that pain won’t define us. It is a long, hard, and frustrating fight. Hang in there, from one to another, I am proud of your fight and I hope you the very best! Big hug
