How does a (minor?) subluxation feels like?

Sep 23, 2017 1:18 AM

I recently began to feel like my hip is in a weird position ? it hurts really bad and it feels like I need to push on it? i had this rarely in the past but since at least one month ago, it's many times a week.. i'm wondering if those pains/feelings are subluxations ?

i also sometimes have a clicking in my shoulder and immediately after, I feel pain and i feel like my bone is "breaking". Then after some time, the feeling is gone.

(keeping in mind that i have pain in every single joints)

Just feel like I need to be wrapped up in bubble wrap at times. Need an oil can at times as well. Doctor said something about joint hypermoblity syndrome...

I'm not sure how a subluxation feels but I was having the same problem in my hip about a year ago, when I would walk my hip would give out and I'd almost fall.

Yeah, hEDS Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome is worth looking up if your body is more flexible than most. It will cause pain in your joints and certainly subluxations. If it's the case, learning about it will open up a world of information :)

The best way that I can explain how subluxations feel to me is that something just feels like it's "off" or "wrong". Kind of like the feeling of needing to crack your knuckles. Other times the joint will feel like it's stuck. Usually I can help things by pushing the joint back into its proper position.

I have some joints though that are kind of like that all the time though, and my muscles are so tight from trying to stabilize the joint. Seems like once a certain joint subluxes once, it happens a lot more often afterwards, at least for me.

I went to a chiro and they told me my hip was out of place. Have you tried a chiropractor?

i never tried one because I never thought about it. Plus my doctor thought that everything is due to lack of exercises... So I didn't think I would need it

I went for my back pain and found out all weird things about my body. Infortunately they cost a lot for me so i discontinued going, but it did help my hip and back when i did go. It is hard to exercise when my hip is in pain and the chiro helped to where i could do some exercise.
