How might I feel the day after an epidural at L4 and L5?

Oct 28, 2016 7:03 AM

I have delivered 4 baby boys with no pain meds in my life and NOW I get an epidural? 😂Will I be able to go to work and appts the next day? With fibromyalgia and CFS and etc etc etc, I never know how my body will react. Just trying to plan ahead a little.

I'm not a good one to ask.... My epidural did not work in fact I avoid any kind of surgeries since as I've experienced great difficulty with any anaesthesia having any effect on me at all. Ask someone who's had a positive experience.

I had an eidural the week before my car accident. I didn't notice any change until the day after. My Pain was slowly improving day by day for the next few days. I was surprised it helped because when I was having my son the epidural didn't work at all. I had a c- section due to his heart rate and they ended up having to knock me out. 5 years later when I had my daughter they tried again. This time the anesthesiologist was from India and when I thought he asked if I could feel him touching me I said yes. Then they started cutting and I screamed. What he really asked was if the area was deadend. Yikes! Poor hubby ( now an ex) they had to pry his hand from mine. He probably deserved it though. Lol

I don't know why I typed all of that. Just pass it by. I am rambling today. :)
