Welcome HMS! There are several others like you but I'm not one. I think my step grandson is though because he Brenda his head backwards until his skull base touches his back and his wrists turn around where his hands are backwards on his arms. Welcome and blessed you! 🙏🌼

Hi, I don't have hyper mobility syndrome, but I do have hEDS otherwise known as Ehlers Danlos Syndrome Hyper Mobility type. They are considered the same thing by many EDS experts. Welcome to the group. I hope you feel as comfortable here as I do. :-)

Hi scary Anne i was diagnosed EDS (selfdiagnosed) a little time and I am now diagnosed with HMS (by doctor)

I'm a little out of it tonight, I had a tooth reconstructed today and I'm in agony from the dentist working in my mouth so long.

I struggled for 43 years before I got a diagnosis. My shoulders started dislocating when I was an infant, but because they always went back in without help and before Mom and Dad could get me to a doctor the doctors never believed them. I started having stomach problems as a toddler. I broke my arm just before second grade and my leg at the end of second grade. After that I sprained my ankle several times a year, every year, for many years.

I LOVED to make everyone queasy in school by bending my thumb back and touching the back side of my arm with it. I could put my palms flat on the table and slide them together so that my fingers were straight up. My knees bend backwards so far I could put my hands flat on the floor without bending my knees. I thought this was cool until recently when they started bending without my wanting them to.

Now absolutely everything causes pain. Most of the time I can "grin and bear it" but some days it's just too much.

Bless your heart Scaryann! I hope your mouth will feel better as each day passes. The last work I had done took 3 days before the throbbing went away. It hurt whether i was eating, talking, or resting, so i know your pain. You're in my prayers! 🙏🌼

I have hypermobility and a variety of other issues to. I know it's difficult and I know that the physio etc. Can be mundane but perseverance (if you can stand it) could improve the condition slightly
