Hysterectomy help with pain

Nov 28, 2016 4:52 PM

I've got a call in to the Dr and going in to see her Thurs. However, my constipation has relieved but now with each movement I have extremely strong cramps in my rectum and pelvic area. This usually happens between my pain med dose like now I've two hours til I can take anything else. Does anyone know or have experience this. How can I stop it and why is it happening?

Hi newfibrogirl,
It sounds like you may have strained the muscles in that area when you were constipated. You may need to let your doctor check that area, to make sure you haven't got a prolapse of the rectum or vaginal area. If it is not a prolapse, he/she may suggest some pelvic exercises to strengthen that area.
I hope your doctor can help.

Oh no newfibrogirl that doesn't sound good at all. I'm sorry I don't know what to suggest other than calling your doctor now and asking if there's anything they can suggest xx sending you { { { BIG GENTLE HEALING LOVING HUGS } } } XX

Sending positive healing thoughts.... The OT told me to not sit for longer than 5 minutes trying for a movement ... Apparently there a nasty mineral oil cleanse ... I prolapsed my bladder post surgery ... Fingers crossed.
Lots of veg and water.

I hope this is not a bad sign. I called the Dr and told them what I was experiencing. I was not scheduled to come back until the two week mark but she made me an appointment for this week.

I had full saddle nerve damage at the time ... So you are ahead of the game knowing how you are feelings ... breathe ... Glad the dr is proactive!!!
