I cant believe it .. dumped by my dr

Oct 26, 2016 1:32 PM

I ranted a couple of weeks ago how my Drs office had called me about a referral that I didn't need and that there wasn't a referral for my new diagnosis of fibromyalgia ... I just saw him yesterday and was told that he just gets patients sent back for him to treat ... I asked for the letter for my disability tribunal. Soooo he tells me he is cutting back his practice to accommodate the court requirements for him to have his kids ... It's apparently been an ongoing divorce. Blah blah blah need to scale back my practice ... Blah blah new script for lyrics blah blah blah ... Get a copy of requested letter ... Useless shit ... Pay 20 for a form and then this morning received a letter saying my son and I are no longer his patients. .. wtf!
Yes it makes sense now all the shitty support lack of follow thru, not willing to make referrals etc not providing a supportive letter ... He made errors last letter no corrections and again not totally correct.
Now less then 30 days away from my tribunal, shitty caseworker, less then a week to send in anything for my tribunal .. aside from all my sins school advocacy requirements and a costume to be mafe for Friday ... The stress is totally overwhelming and I had awoken to an already bad pain day .. I feel so frustrated and afraid ... Really hoping the disability caseworker will call me back otherwise I'm going to have to proceed on my own to send in paperwork to the tribunal office.

Am so sorry sweetie. There just are no words. :(
So you mind my asking where in Canada you live? I know a few people up there and can ask what they might suggest for you. (((hugs)))

Awesome ... It's quite a challenge finding an available Dr here ... making calls .. thanks again for putting the word out.

Finding a doctor is so hard. I'm in the process of dropping mine because she refuses to acknowledge there is anything wrong. I live just west of Kingston (Ontario) and because were considered rural it can take up to a year on a wait list to get a new doctor. Plus there's no guarantee they'll be any better. I hope you are able to get things sorted out. I'll make sure to pray for you.

Courtney VM ... I totally understand, we left an another challenging practice for this Dr... In my first meeting I felt he would better serve me and my son. It has added to my stresses ... He knew my complex health issues and I was applying to odsp and my son is autistic when we joined his practice he totally let us down while we were patients and to leave us without a family doctor is very shitty ... I will be writing a letter somewhere after I get thru my odsp tribunal ... I'd I hear of any decent dr around Kingston I'll pm you ... Which side?... I wish you the best of luck as well ..

I'm actually west of Kingston by half an hour. I know that the pain clinic in Kingston is pretty decent. I haven't been but know people who go there and have had good luck. It's quite the process to get referred though. As far as family doctors I'm not sure who is any good. I'm trying to find a decent one as well. The way my husband looks as it, I can't get any worse than I already have. I've never come out of the doc office feeling like I've resolved anything.
