This first one is with their department nurse practitioner, probably not a lot of answers at this appointment, but it's a start.

Usually the first one they take your blood and urine to run more specific tests and ask a bunch of questions and look you over from head to toe. It links you can look up on what to expect at the Rhuematologist appt. They were very helpful and I was more prepared on what to expect. Still praying for you!

Yes. Write all of your symptoms & questions; discuss them with the Dr. Also, take someone you trust to support you and compare impressions with them afterwards. That has helped me immeasurably. Best of luck! ! !

My notebook is always nearby, and my fiancee is going with me. When they called to schedule, I warned them that I'd be bringing a notebook of questions and concerns. I do that to my primary now. Fortunately she's good with it. I just put stars next to things that I need to address with rheumatology. I even jot things down that my fiancee wants to know. We both need to be educated.
