I think this forum is turning into a chat room rather than a site where people discuss issues and potential solutions. I appreciate people support each other but its getting difficult wading through all the chatting to get to what we are looking for and that is solutions.
Struggling, thats an odd criticism to make. This is a forum for ppl who are in chronic pain to discuss it. There is no specific thing we are supposed to talk about, as everyone has different problems. What solutions are you looking for? We can try to help you, but no one here is a doctor. I really don't understand what you are looking for.
I agree with Amie that it is a chat room, of a community of people in chronic pain. Occasional good & happy posts are put up, which in my opinion, if we can share something that makes others smile or laugh, then we've helped them forget their pain, if just for a moment. And laughter is good medicine, heart mind & soul! I'd guesstimate 95-98% of the posts are about pain issues.
Struggling, according to your "person icon" (can't remember what they're called) you've just joined the community, or its your first post at least. If there's something you need to know and haven't found, please post a question. I'm sure with as many of us there are, there will be multiple people who can offer suggestions. I'm really sorry you're hurting, as everyone else would agree. But without knowing your needs, no one can help. Hugs & prayers for you to find your answers, support and maybe a laugh or two. 🙏🌼
PS... When you are looking for something specific, go to the right of the topic name, use the looking glass & search for it. It may bring up other things where your topic was vaguely mentioned, but it's easier when needing a specific answer. Many people have posted a question for their topic. God luck 🙏🌼
That's good. I wish they'd let me go to OC/PT or at least a chiropractor. They're all saying because it's apparently nerve related they don't want to cause potential problems. But it's ok, I've learned or am learning patience. 🙏🌼
I agree with Amie and Flappsy that this is a community of people that care about each and everyone in it and we have formed a family group. We all suffer from chronic pain it may not be the same kind of problems not only with our body's, minds but issues with our families jobs Dr's what ever anything that causes us stress affects our pain. There is someone who has gone through simular things and can help by giving advice.
I did that once or twice at therapy. They had this parafin wax and it was really warm (Almost hot) and then I had to put my hands in one at a time and then after I took out my other hand I had to put the first one in again. After that, I had to sit with the hot wax on my hands and when it cooled, I actually peeled the wax off as if it were gloves. Something about the wax and heat actually DID make my hands feel better but only for about 30 minutes. After that it was back to the normal crap again. I haven't done it in years. Perhaps I may give it another go.. Let me know how it goes for you.
