I have FM with Chronic Pain & Chronic Fatigue Syndrome!

Jul 08, 2015 12:22 AM

Hi, my name is Janice and I am 39 years old and was diagnosed with Fibro at the age of 31. I am completely disabled and in a wheelchair when I am able to get out, which is 1 or 2 days a week for only 4 hours at a time! When I'm home, I have to be in the bed! I also have other disabilities with Fibro that disable me from living a "normal" life!

I have been married to my wonderful husband for almost 20 years who works and takes care of me! We were not able to have children so God blessed us with God-Given family which includes a 23 year old daughter, 4 Godchildren, & a sister!

We are Christians and attend Hope Church! My faith in Jesus is what gets me through each and every day! If it were not for my Jesus helping me daily, there is no way I could function and live with this horrific pain daily!

I am hoping to meet a lot of new people and form a support system with all of you who know and understand exactly what I'm going through!

Together, we can get through this and help each other! I look forward to "talking" with you all.

Much Love & Many Blessings, Janice 💞

Hi,
I'm 14, and have not yet recieved an official diagnosis that at least 2 docs agree on.
There are a lot of people in this community with a fibro diagnosis, but I haven't been diagnosed with fibro.
What other disabilities do you have, if you don't mind my asking.
I have Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, plus a gene mutation that makes many common substances (dairy, wheat, metals, flouride,Tylenol, etc.) very toxic.
I also might have many other autoimmune diseases, but by now everything seems similar.

Welcome to the community Janice! You are so young for such difficulties. I'm 53 with fibro and many other issues. My fibro started about 7 years ago, followed by a major surgery (5 in 1) that caused me to leave the work force. My health continues to become more complicated each year; seems like every few months it's something new.

I started using a cane in December for imbalance issues but also use a walker and public e-carts as needed. I'm not in a wheelchair so I can't say I understand what that's like. But I'm going to Mayo soon, referred by my neurologist who still suspects I may have MS. I have tremors, imbalance & dizziness they will hopefully & prayerfully be able to diagnose.

And like you, I would not get through this without God. He has gotten me through all my medical issues for 30+ years. This community is a God-sent blessing, full of compassionate and supportive people. We are all different in many ways but we don't judge or ridicule. We can complain or vent frustration, ask questions and advice, and simply be support for each other. And personally I love hearing good things from others, because it lightens my spirit and laughter gives off pleasure endorphins. I try to stay positive. My life and health is what it is. I'll take whatever blessed moments I can get. I'll add you to my prayers! 🙏🌼

Janice, welcome to our family community. I, too, have fibro along with several other pain causing illnesses and have been in pain for over 22 years. I have found this group to be a Godsend. The people here are wonderful, supportive and funny. There are no judgements and we are all just a keystroke away. I hope you find what you need here, I'm fairly certain that you will. I will keep you in my prayers. 💕🙏🏻🌺
