I have this problem where the moment my pain is not too bad, I start to feel like i'm fake and complaining for attention, even though it IS bad. Just today, the pain in my right shoulder and arm was so intense and bad that it was difficult for me to hold a pen and i had to leave my class to go cry in the bathroom....
It doesn't help that every blood tests I did came back negative and that my doctor said that I should just exercise more.
Immediately go to another doctor. I had 15 doctors and two hospitals tell me my pain was all in my head. They made me feel crazy. Keep going until you find one who believes you. If you have Fibromyalgia, it won't show up on tests. All of my blood tests came back perfect, yet I was suffering horribly. Exercising more can sometimes make things worse...not always, but sometimes. I wish you the best, and don't stop until you find someone who believes you.
Alala I'm so sorry to hear that you are going through this. I agree with Libs01 find another Dr. it took me 10 years to get the right diagnosis and to find a Dr that said "I know you are going through a lot of pain and I will help you with that" when I finally heard that from a Dr the relief was so immense! I also have a couple of days where the pain is a lot less (barely there) and I start to question myself. I think it's a good idea if you're beating yourself up to take the time to review your pain chart and accept the fact that something is wrong and your pain is valid. I still have a hard time with this but I'm working on it 👍 I'm sending hugs your way xoxox ❤️
Find a new doc, and then probably another. I went through about 12. My other recomemdation is work on your thinking. Every time you feel weak, or like a your not justified in your pain STOP and replace it with thoughts that you are a warrior. You are in a battle to live your life and when no one can see that it just means you are stronger for fighting alone! I studdied pain a lot as a way to cope. There is no scietific basis for pain "in your imagination" it is all real and if the doc can't find it that just means they have failed and are ignorant and you need to see someone better. Don't just take our word for it. You should look up "buzzfeed try guys auto imune disease" on YouTube. One of the guys shares his story of living with intense life imparing pain and how hard it was for him to find a doc who would listen. Also how happy he was to finally be validated. It was great to hear from someone somewhat famous that he shared our experience in some way.
