I worked HARD all day because we have a huge event coming up this weekend. I normally only work four hours or so per day. I'm completely exhausted. Took my bed time meds as soon as I got home (after dinner), got the kids to bed, laid down and got nauseous. Then I threw up. Ugh. I really hope the meds stayed down. I can't miss tomorrow! But in so tired that sleep should come a bit easier tonight. So there is that bright side.

I went to sleep at 8 and woke up a bunch but was able to fall back asleep every time. 4.5 hours of sleep all together. More than usual. I woke up for good at 5. I feel over medicated hangoverish. Which doesn't make a lot of sense. But at least I know it didn't throw up the meds.

Well at least you got a little sleep. But I'm sorry you had such broken up sleep. I've been there! Do you take any sleep or antidepressant meds? Was it you that said melatonin didn't work for you? Have you had your serotonin levels checked?

That description was my typical night when my PCP put me on Ambien. But he went up on the dose and I was on it so many years I couldn't sleep at all without it. I also had many side-effects going on, suspected Cymbalta. It turned out the cymbalta & ambien were both to blame, so I was weaned off both, using Nortriptyline (old school antidepressant that works wonderful for me) & melatonin. My lab work has shown serotonin deficiency for 2 years now. My current psych has increased my Nortriptyline twice and may do it again next week. The increase is helping me sleep and feel less depression. Where I use to average 4-5 he's sleep a night, and multiple waking episodes, I now wake only 2-3 (unless fibro flare of pain), sleeping on avg 6 1/2 to 8 hr.

Hopefully you can find something that will help you sleep. Have you tried sleepy time tea with 2 mg melatonin? Give yourself 7-8 hr minimum to sleep and have caffeine the next morning. The one thing I hate about melatonin is the "blah" feeling the next morn. Praying you blessings for a better day & night today, that improves each night! 🙏🌼

I take 20 mg meletonin. It helps me fall asleep then I sleep for one or two hours before I wake up the first time. It's an improvement over not taking it. I can't handle caffeine. It causes major pain and RLS increases.

Try a sleepy time tea with the melatonin. 🙏🌼
