I.Hate.Clothes

Nov 09, 2015 3:49 PM

Why is it that clothes are so irritating?? It has to do with nerve endings, I'm guessing. I put clothes on, finally, about two hrs ago. Only to take them back off and find the loosest pj pants I could find. Lord, how the pain has returned today. And, GOD, do my hands hurt!

I'm sorry you are feeling so badly. I hate clothes too. I found some lounge wear at Wal-Mart that is so soft and comfortable. I can actually wear it to the store. It's made by White Stag. There are pants, shirt, and a 3/4 sleeve jacket. I bought a set in each color and I live in them. I hope your hands feel better soon.

Thank you so much!

Your welcome. You can probably find those clothes online at Wal-Mart.com. I'm lucky or unlucky, depending on how look at it to live less than a mile from one, and my son works there as a support manager, so I get to use his discount card.

target has great lounge pants and loose yoga pants too. Check them out online. I will admit tho PJ's are the best when in pain - I am still inine. The choice was do a little laundry or shower and dress 😜

Awesome. I live about 1-2 miles from Walmart. I will look into buying some of those comfy clothes. At times, I can't stand anything at all. It's like, anything with waistband, chords my stomach. Also, a bra or even a tight shirt are irritating. I guess it's part of it. I've learned to roll with it! Too blessed to be stressed👼

Bras I get sport bras - hey protect them or hang them.

I understand totally... Inwear sun dress all day everyday or I have oversized lounge wear dresses... Sleeveless. I don't like wearing clothes either my mom just got done fussing biut me putting clothes on because it cold in the house . it's the middle of November and she still has the air on.. My bones r frozen but yet If I out on sleeves it feels weird or like needles are in it..
I don't understand the why either but I do understand.

The waistband on these are about 2_3 in wide and they just sit. They don't pinch, bind or roll up. I'm wearing my blue set to my sleep study tonight.

Nov 09, 2015 5:33 PM

Okay I have to check these out

Nov 09, 2015 5:38 PM

I have that problem too when I put on clothes I can't wait to take them off WOW

I had to buy some stress clothes for my dad's birthday & family reunion. Below had these pull on crop pants with 3-4" waist bands. Like Cearea said, they just start in place without squeezing or pinching. They'll be the waist band I look for at all stores. I've got some white stag clothes too, and my fleeces sweats. I have considered ace wrapping my breats instead of wearing a bra...😱 Lol. 🙏🌼

Nov 10, 2015 3:49 PM

Most days, if I don't have to go out, then I'm in either sweatpants or pj pants the majority of the day without a bra on. Appointment days is a pair of sweats and a short sleeve t-shirt. Can't stand long sleeve as I feel like I'm going to smother myself. If I really feel lazy, I have 2 pairs of the white stag loose fitting pj pants that have the wide waist that stay in place.

Nov 10, 2015 5:23 PM

Flappsys, Lol! I should definitely try the ace wrapping for those puppies!

Crps, almost choked on that hang them concept. Lol.

Newfibrogirl, I never thought of sun dresses, but I do by my gowns like, 2-3 sizes to large so it doesn't touch my skin anymore than necessary. I used to be able to relate to being frozen, until menopause and elevated pain levels. Now I must strip to even breathe. Lol.

Amanda, pj pants are a staple in my wardrobe, or lack thereof. And I never thought of wider waistbands until I bought two skirts from Walmart with them. So very comfortable.

Nov 10, 2015 5:29 PM

Leo, do you get that callow took me away feeling, when they finally do come off? Lol. I swear, I do.😥

Nov 10, 2015 5:30 PM

That should read, calgon. . Dumb spell check.. lol

Nov 10, 2015 5:43 PM

Latch, yes they are in mine as well. As well as 1-2 size too big sweats. Also beginning stages of pre-menopause. Sometimes I can't get my shirts and bra off fast enough.

Crazy! I thought I was the only one 😋.

Some days I can't wear pants because my scar tissue causes terrible pressure & aching on my abdomen and everything feels too tight & painful. I also have a skin condition that causes my skin to become super sensitive. Even things that are soft are too rough on my skin at that point. There are things I cannot wear at all anymore due to it, and things like towels have to be incredibly soft or my skin becomes inflamed.

It's a pain in the rear.

We were born nekkid .. I don't think many ppl care for wearing clothes lol

I have nerve pain issues in my hips .. it was really bad by the time I was dxd with RA and a couple years before my dx I started buying maternity pants .. mostly because I couldnt go to work in my pjs and I could get them in dress pants and jeans with really loose hip and tummy area.. but they didn't make me look like I was swimming in my clothes... just wore tops that were a little longer to hide the stretchy stuff... that might be an option :) they really helped me.

That is the worst part about still working full-time in an office. I have to wear nice clothes which includes a bra. Is soon as I get home is everything comes off!! On the weekends and after work I am in giant house dresses. I'm sure I look super attractive😂

Nov 11, 2015 11:42 PM

I changed 3 times today and put my gown back on... Nothing feels good today, and my hands are hurting sooo bad too!

Nov 12, 2015 12:15 AM

I am a plus size and Roamans.com is a size 12 and up clothing site. Everything I own is from there. They have a huge clearance section which is all I buy from. After you buy something they email you huge discounts good on clearance too. The only draw back is use thier measurement guide. I think they run large and it cost more to return it than the clearance price of what I paid for it. I even found half way comfortable bras on there too ones I can actually wear a few hours.
