Does anyone else who has fibro have irregular periods? My fibro hasn't been officially diagnosed yet but I have irregular periods and wondering if those could be connected or could steer me more toward a different diagnosis.

I had endometriosis when I was younger. Caused irregular and heavier periods. Then I had fibroid tumors and had to have hysterectomy. I don't think they do that anymore. They just go in and take the tumors out.

AnimalLover, I had fibroids and endometriosis too and had a total hysterectomy about 4 1/2 years ago at the age of 36. So yes, they do still do that lol. I was having severe abdominal pain and cramping constantly. I also haven't been officially diagnosed with fibro but I have an appointment with a rheumatologist in 4 weeks, so hopefully I will get some answers soon. Hope you are able to get some answers soon Hoovilocky.

Christine I know someone that just had the fibroid tumors taken out. She plans on getting pregnant. She doesn't have endometriosis.

I have it any I'm very irregular. Sometimes dibilitating cramps sometimes none at all. Very heavy bleeding. I can never keep track of when I start because it varies so much. I learned recently I have autoimmune thyroid disease on top of a list of other things. So I'm not sure if it's the fibro, thyroid, or both. I feel your pain!

That's great that they were able to just remove them and give her a chance to have children! I had my only child at 18, and then my husband and I tried for more than 10 years to conceive again with no success. We are just thankful we were blessed with one child! So when I was diagnosed with endometriosis, fibroids and numerous cysts I just said take it all out. I had been in so much abdominal and pelvic pain, I was just done!
