I'm so COLD

Feb 06, 2017 11:45 PM

I am usually a very warm bodied person (I sweat A LOT) but lately I have been getting cold hands and feet. It is not cold in the house but I am freezing. Is this something to do with fibro?

They say temperature deregulation is part of fibro. It could also be a thyroid problem.
I just know I'm always freezing until it's time to sleep then I'm too hot.
Sometimes the cold in my extremities is because of tense muscles restricting blood flow to that area

A short answer is yes! I have had the same issue for the last 4 years, I have had to learn to take precautions gloves, hand warmers etc as I now get pain with it, I have even refused to do certain things if the weather has been to cold, symptoms of Raynauds can be common for fibro as well. I hope you get some respite from it...

I have fibro and Sjogrens. I have been cold for 2 decades. I now live in Florida and when I feel warm in the summer other people are about to pass out. 😏

I thought it was the sarcoidosis that caused these symptoms in me. It's hard to tell which disease is doing what. My right hand is always the coldest. I but a pair of cheap gloves and cut of the tips. They keep the hands warm and yet allows you to engage in a lot of other activities.

I have fibro and my nose, fingers, and feet are always cold. Sometimes it feels like someone is hovering an ice pack right above my feet and the cold is settling on them. I always want heat blowing on my feet while riding in the car. My husband can't stand it, but the cold feeling makes me tense and uncomfortable. I love my heating blanket!

Get your thyroid checked. I have fibro and reactive arthritis as well as a laundry list of immune system issues. I was getting cold hands and feet to the point it was painful. Turns out my thyroid levels were through the roof. I was diagnosed as having Hasimotos. Since taking thyroid meds the coldness is way less.

I have Hashimoto's as well as Fibro and neuropathy and carpal tunnel , but just went through menopause two years ago and am now starting to freeze constantly so was attributing it to that. So, bottom line, it's a doctor thing, LOL.

I have fibro sjogrens & hypothyroidism, and I'm freezing when it's warm or sweating when it's cold. My body temperature is always off. My doc has even mentioned Raynaud's.

I have Hashimotos neuropathy and arthritis as well as a few other issues. I too deal with coldness. Sometimes it's so bad it hurts. I was recently diagnosed with PAD periferal artery disease. It affects circto your extremities. You may want to be checked for it.

I have a collection of spinal cord issues, and the one common symptom, besides pain, is cold intolerance. I think it's just something to do with a frazzled nervous system.

I noticed last winter that my feet were always cold and numb, even in wool socks and double layered. It's just awful

I had these symptoms as well and found out my thyroid levels were off the charts high. Have you ever had your thyroid checked?
