In love with my heated blanket!

Dec 02, 2016 10:13 AM

I basically carry it around the house. Does anyone else find they are comforted by heat

Heat is great for muscle pain.
I'm going to go have a hot bath with mint oil in it the second the boyfriend leaves the house (mint bothers him)

I agree! A friend purchased me a heated blanket and O! la! la!

Warning though... I've used a heating pad on muscle pains/strains and fallen to sleep and been burned. Not good!!

I love heating pads. The one I have is larger than the normal ones and it shuts down after a certain amt. of time. I have a throw blanket that does the same. Wish I had them here with me.

I am sitting on an electric blanket with a heating pad in my lap! The heat saves me in these awful winter months!

I have fallen asleep with a heated throw blanket. They also make electric blankets for your bed. My parents use theirs all the time. About 30 minutes before going to.bed they will put theirs on high. Then once they are in bed they turn it down to a lower setting. The blankets are made for sleeping under, and not like a hearing pad that can (and will) cause burns if you stay under it it too long.

I am kinda weird though. The heat for short term helps but if I leave it on too long it can cause my muscles (etc.) to actually hurt more. So I have to be careful.. But then again caffein makes me sleepy. So yup. I am weird.
