Injection made me feel great but bad news

Sep 05, 2015 2:36 AM

I had an injection into my ankle on Monday and it worked immediately. My ankle felt like it was healed. I have some serious arthritis in it from my 20 feet fall off a ladder. If feels so good to have one area have relief. But it comes with bad news. He said if it works, I need to have surgery because more injections would ruin the bone left in my ankle. He want to fuse the last bit of bone left that is not fused. So that means I will be on crutches fo a couple of months. That will truly suck. I was on crutches for two years trying to get it to heal before. I hated crutches not that anyone likes them. I wish they had a new way of healing bone faster.

Profiler, I'm happy to hear that the injection worked for you. How nice that you had immediate relief. I'm sorry that the doctor told you that the only way to fix it for good is to fuse what bone is left. Perhaps you will get long term relief from the injection and won't have to have the surgery for a while. If you do absolutely need the surgery, I pray that it helps you to have continued relief from your ankle pain and that the surgical pain eases quickly and that you heal completely. Sending some reassuring hugs and prayers for a successful outcome. 💕🙏🏻🌻

Profiler, I agree with AlwayZ comments. Maybe you could put of the surgery for a little while. I'll be praying for you, and wish you a speedy recovery if you decide to go for the surgery. And we'll just join together to pray no delayed healing! 🙏🌼
