Intermittent FMLA Update...

Apr 20, 2016 4:18 AM

OMG!!! I'm finally approved!!! I have 480 hours available for use. I'm so relieved that I no longer need to worry about points, and can start listening to my body when I need to slow down, or feel sick. I was also given back a vacation day and part of my personal time in addition to my FMLA. I'm thankful to the company for their understanding and my doctor for helping. *soft hugs for all*

My job told me we do not have FMLA. I asked.

MySistersKeeper -unfortunately smaller companies do not have to offer FMLA. It is unfortunate for those that really need it.

I'm so happy for you! 🙂💕🙏🌼

MySistersKeeper, I'm sorry they don't have the progam. Can you go out on temporary disability? This way, you get something and I believe you can have that for up to 18 months unless they made changes since I did it. There has to be some kind of assistance through social services to help folks that need it and that they don't have to jump through hoops to get it. {{{Hugs}}} 💕🙏🏻🌻😊

It took a year of missing all over the place, mainly for migraines, I had no idea we had it available for chronic illness, so when coworker told me about it, I broke down and asked HR, I was half a point off of being suspended for absences. I would follow LMBs suggestion.
