I live in Florida which I love most of the year.. We have lived here 3 years.. Came from PA..we have had a sudden cold snap and omg am i paying the price ugghhhh I am dealing with intense hip pain again.. This pain comes and goes in "episodes" I go awhile were it's not bad and then anywhere from a few days to a few weeks where the pain is just absolutely unbearable.. Hurts to sit stand lay walk.. Not much helps.. I use tramadol and I have vicodin.. I use heat.. Cold.. Massage cushions.. Heating pads.. My husband tries to help by rubbing and also helping me with bending and stretching my legs and hips.. NOTHING helps.. Does anyone deal with this.. Have any thing that I havent tried that might help?
I use biofreeze, you can get it at pharacies, walmart, drug stores etc. I love, love, love, this stuff. Everyone that I recommend it to has come back to me and said thank you, it's amazing. I hurt from head to toe all the time and I have tried everything possible but my old family friend who was a chiropractor but also was a Cherokee Indian and did alot of natural healing and stuff got me to try it, I was hesitant at first but once I did, wow!!!! I loved it. You can get it in a spray, or a roll on or gel. The roll on is easier to use but honestly it doesn't matter which one they all work great.
Mominpain, I'm sorry you're hurting like this. I've had bursitis for years in both hips and shoulder joints. I normally use Voltaren gel. But occasionally I have to get steroid injx. Have you ever tried volts gel? It's by prescription only. 🙏🌼
A few people I know who are into natural medicine have told about using tumeric; but now that I've just picked up a jar I don't know what and am trying to figure out what the heck to do with it! So far I've read that it can be used as a poultice and is good for osteoarthritis... Does anyone know anything else about it?
Mominpain, I too live in Florida, and experienced unreal right side hip pain with that same cold front!!! It was a rough couple days. Plus, we didn't see sunlight 4 days in a row. Not why I live in Florida by the way ;-)
I used a T.E.N.S. unit (look on amazon, decent price, and totally worth it) and my electric blanket was like a second skin.
