iron deficiency anaemia

Has anyone ever had this condition before I would like some advice about this as my doctor wants me to see her on the 17 of this month coz she wants to know why I am always like this but I have no idea why I am like this so how am I ment to answer that question

It is not a question for you to answer.. That is the job of the doctor. I have been diagnosed with that and was told to take iron supplements and eat iron rich foods. Good luck to you.

Amy5, The genetic make-up of my family leans towards this. The older we get the more of us it affects. Luckily so far I only had it during pregnancies. But my sister, grandmother and 2cousins have dealt with it their whole lives. My dad also has problems from time to time, but he has had cancer multiple times and has bleeding issues on&off. Are your monthly cycles extremely heavy & long? If so that could contribute. Your doctors job is to find the cause and treat it, not you.
